ONE OF THE BEST LOCATIONS ON THE ISLAND. LOCATED AT 703 SILVERSIDE, ON THE ROAD NEXT TO THE JOHN FRIPP VILLA. The beach access is only 30 yards from our driveway. Tennis, pools restaurant and shops all within a block...Marina a half mile away...Two golf courses within a short distance.

Accommodations for this three bedroom vacation home include: Three bedrooms, two with queen beds, one is 24 feet long with a king and two twins. There are two full bathrooms, both with double vanities, one sporting a jacuzzi tub, and a large 24 foot screened porch. The den is spacious (24x16) with lots of seating.
Fripp Island is a 3000-acre private, gated island 19 miles outside of Beaufort, South Carolina. The island has 3.5 miles of beach, with two golf courses. One course is an oceanfront golf course. The second course is an award winning Davis Love III golf course with a beautiful marsh setting. The ten tennis courts are less than a city block from our house. The island sports miles of scenic bike paths, a fitness center, and Camp Fripp, a children's recreation activity center.
The marina has a great boat landing and ample moorage. Several artificial fishing reefs are from 1.5 to 9 miles off shore and offer excellent fishing. The marina is on a large tidal creek that opens to a vast expanse of estuaries with some of the best fishing, crabbing, and shrimping on the East Coast.
The beauty of the island has enticed movie makers repeatedly to the Island. Forrest Gump, Jungle Book, and the Prince of Tides were all filmed on Fripp.
The home is nestled among live oaks and palm trees with a large, usable, fenced in yard. The interior of the house has been recently remodeled, and has central heating and cooling. The kitchen has all new Kitchen Aid appliances.

We were late in looking for a rental. When we talked with the owners they were very helpful in letting us arrange our stay on Fripp. We were very happy with the house as it was right in the middle of everything and was just a beach access away from the best part of the beach at Fripp. This rental came with all of the toys you would need keep everyone happy and busy. Hope to get back out again soon and will hope that this rental is available again when we come.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A very nice house and great location!, Plenty of room for all. Easy walking distance to Beach Club, tennis, adult pool, beach, food court. One really does not need a golf cart staying here at this house. You cannot go wrong staying here.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We are Dave & Wylene Martin. We live in Charleston, SC. I am a retired HS coach and administrator and my wife is a retired second grade school teacher. We enjoy golf, working out and being at Fripp. We have two children, Tradd, who owns 'Househunter,' a real-estate company in Columbia, and Brooke who is an international flight attendant.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Mid-Island:
Fripp is a special place. Living in Charleston, we could be at Kiawah, Wild Dunes, etc. However, Fripp is worth the extra hour and a half drive. We especially like the people and the laid back life style Fripp provides.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Once we arrive at Fripp, we find it hard to leave the island, even to go shopping. However, we do have to go off the island to Boondocks Restaurant at least once a week. Everything that we ever wanted in our retirement is at Fripp, golf, beach, beautiful surroundings, boating and great bike and walking trails. It is our paradice.
