  The Serendipity was is in a great location. We enjoyed riding the bikes. We had great weather. The house keeping could have been a little cleaner. We found coke bottles under the beds and crumbs on the floor in the upstairs bedroom. Other than that we were very pleased. We would recommend this property to anyone. Love the deck. We went to Apalachicola several times and we would recommed The Owl Cafe. Wonderful. We loved all the little shops, very neat little town.

  My sisters and our spouses thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Serendipity. Location was wonderful, house was very clean and well kept up. Hot tub was a most enjoyed bonus. Pictures are representative of what you'll see when you get there. Owners are great to worjk with. I would highly recommend this house as a relaxing place to vacation.

  Me and my friends had a great time! The view is great. The bikes were great for a morning ride. We used the grill one day, We left you a gift of a new grill brush attached to the chain, You were in need of one bad. Loved the hot tub and both outdoor showers. TV worked good and the bed I slept in was brilliant! Found everything in the kitchen to make meals at home. Ate out only a couple of times. Loved the pool table! The highlight of our trip, rented the jet skis down the beach. This was the first time I had ever rode one of these,,, it was way cool. had that thing up to 52 mph!!! I went slowly over to where I seen some dolphins swimming, next thing you know, they were all around me coming up looking at me, checking me out and jumping out of the water! WOW The only thing I can think of that needs work is the screen on the sliding door on the upper deck, It was a little quirky... Thanks for letting us stay there and would love to check out some of your places in the smokies one day. Sincerely, Jeff

  What a beautiful property this is! I was delighted to see that the photos very accurately depicted the condition of the house. It was close enough to everything downtown that we didn't even have to drive our car the whole week. The decorations and amenities were wonderful. I had no trouble finding everything that I needed in the kitchen. The bikes worked great. There were plenty of chairs and beach toys. The full pink moon was a bonus! We vacationed with four teens and two 45- 50 lb dogs. ALL of us had a great time. No one even turned on a tv until the very last day. The weather was beautiful. The pods of dolphins passed like clockwork. There was an osprey that hunted right in front of us. I loved that I could relax on the deck and watch the kids boogie board. I had no worries about them riding bikes around or walking to get an ice cream alone. What did surprise me was how much we all used the downstairs game room! We used it every day throughout the day and in the evenings, too! The kids would go out and swim then were able to warm back up in the hot tub. We had foos ball and pool tournaments! It was wonderful. We had one issue with the hot tub (we had pushed the sleep program button) and Lucinda answered our questions quickly and sent the hot tub service right back out to fix it. Not to mention that the service lady told me that she is sent to give Serendipity guests fresh water and a cleaned tub for each group that comes to stay!!! The dogs had a great time hanging out with us, playing frisbee on the beach, running alongside the bikes and watching their kids on the shore. The crate provided was just like the one we have at home. The park next door was handy and there are dogs everywhere and people are very welcoming toward them. I was very relieved to find that I did not have to lock doors or use gates to keep them contained. They could stay on the porches and the outside door to the beach would stay shut unless forcibly opened. (Watch you fingers on it though. Of the 6 of us four had scraped hands and crushed fingers before we found out NOT to shut it with the lower vertical handle. USE the newer horizontal handle!!) This was a dream vacation for us! We will definitely recommend Serendipity to our friends. Thank you!!!

  Location: Serendipity is located in the business district of st. george island, near the few stores, bars and restaurants on the island. Most importantly for our toddler, the house is located right next to the lighthouse which includes a nice playground frequented by other families. This was a great surprise for us! Interior and Amenities: The house itself is charmingly decorated with bright but tasteful colors and comfortable furnishings. Hopefully the weather will be warm, but there are plenty of blankets in the back 1st floor bedroom closet if needed (we had some blustery weather!). We hosted a number of family dinners and found the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment, even some nice serving dishes and a waffle maker (big hit with our crowd!). The layout of the house allows everyone to have enough privacy, while also having plenty of space to gather. The hot tub is quite large and easily programmable. There are many stairs (it is a three story building with 2 bedrooms on first floor, common area and kitchen on the 2nd and a 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor), so keep that in mind. We enjoyed the beautiful decks which get great sun. The owners were very helpful. We had some difficulty with the lock upon arrival and even though they were in Europe and it was late at night there, they helped us figure out the issue and were patient with us. Note: Pull the door TOWARDS you while entering the code and turning the knob. They also checked in on us mid-stay do make sure everything was going well. We were able to relax and feel taken care of while also being able to make our own home-away-from-home.

  WOW!!! Serendipity was amazing! I’m not sure it could get much better. We absolutely loved it!!! My husband and I have visited St. George 6 times over the last 14 years and Serendipity is by far the best place we have stayed. We had the most relaxing and fun vacation. The house and the location were both exceptional. I always worry that the pictures shown will not be what the place will look like when you arrive. That was definitely not the case here, what you see in the pictures is exactly what you get and more. Serendipity was remarkably clean and well maintained. We had all the cooking equipment that we needed. Which I was very thankful for, as I love to cook. We got up every morning before the sun came up just so we could see the beautiful sunrise. The dolphins put on a show every morning right after sunrise. Several mornings the dolphins were jumping completely out of the water, straight up into the air. I felt like I was at Sea World, only better! We brought our own road bikes and rode several days exploring the island. One day we went into the state park on our bikes and went to the very end of the park (riding on hard packed sand). We did try to ride the two adult park bikes that were provided. But we could only use one of them, as one of the pedals was stoke on one, which made riding a challenge, since the pedal didn’t rotate. But that wasn’t a big deal, since we had brought our own. We only went to dinner one night, during our 7 night stay. While the food was pretty good at the restaurant, we much preferred walking directly across the street from the house each day for fresh seafood, that we cooked that night. My husband and I really enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub a lot. The owners of Serendipity were wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to our inquires. I cannot say enough good things about the owners and Serendipity. We will definitely be back and will stay at Serendipity the next time we come to St George Island.

  We loved the house, loved the location. The pictures don’t do it justice. They do have bikes but we rented because I’m short and we couldn’t get the seat to adjust down. We also rented Kayaks (from Journeys) for the week. We walked them right down to the beach and paddled out to the dolphins each morning, it was beautiful. The state park was worth the visit, we saw a 5 ft shark about 10ft from the shoreline… creepy. I love to cook so we cooked most meals. I would walk across the street to Dail’s seafood each day to get shrimp and grouper. If you like crab cakes, his are great. Apalachicola has a piggly wiggly, it’s the largest grocery store we could find. Eddie Teaches has great raw oysters. The Blue Parrot has your typical fried seafood. If you visit Apalachicola go to Tamara’s, it was wonderful. If they have the grouper cheeks special… get it. Oh yeah...rent this house, you’ll love it. Just don't take it the week we want next October ;)

  Beautiful....perfect location....We really enjoyed the pool table (little rain) and the decks are awesome. The highlight was a pod of Dolphins dining directly in front of the house...They then proceeded to perform for us before heading off to parts unknown...can't wait to return.

  HOUSE WAS CLEAN AND INVITING WHEN WE ARRIVED. WE ENJOYED LONG DAYS ON THE BEACH TRIPS TO THE PARK, AND TOUR OF THE LIGHTHOUSE. GRANDCHILDREN REALLY ENJOYED THE PLAY GROUND RIGHT NEXT DOOR AND BEING ABLE TO BICYCLE EVERYWHERE. WE ENJOYED ALLOT OF GOOD MEALS ON THE ISLAND AND A PIRATE ADVENTURE FOR THE KIDS THAT WILL BE TALKED OF FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. THEY EVEN GOT TO DIG UP THEIR OWN TREASURE CHEST, THANKS TO JERRY AND CAPTAIN DEWAYNE AT JOLLY ROGER'S. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE WANTING TO STAY ON ST. GEORGE.   Perfect! This home had everything you could want or need to have the perfect vacation. First of al it is ON THE BEACH! Then comes all the other comforts, huge decks with amazing breezes overlooking the Gulf, fully equipped kitchen that is open to the main living areas of the house, you can stand in the kitchen and watch the waves, birds and dolphins. The bedrooms are all spacious each with their own bathrooms + there is the lower area which has the game room - pool table, foosball, bar tables and chairs, bikes, beach toys, umbrellas and beach chairs - there is also an indoor private shower (hot and cold) as well as an outdoor shower (hot and cold). The doors open in the game room for a fantastic beach view which you can enjoy while you are sitting in the hot tub! Really, everything you could want they have thought of. If you have dogs, this is a dog friendly home. After the beach there is a hose right out back you can connect to wash the sand off the pups feet (or backs if your dogs like to roll in the sand like ours did) and if there are times you want to walk the dogs without getting them sandy there is a park right next door with plenty of grass. It also happens to have a play ground, swings and my personal favorite a basketball court. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance but you may prefer getting fresh fish and shrimp from the guys in the trucks and cooking in, nothing beats fresh from the gulf grilled fish. Hope you enjoy Serendipity as much as we did. We will most certainly be back.
