  We had a great time. The house was very clean and comfortable for a family of 6. It was a very short walk to the beach which was very private and quiet. The rental price was very affordable and very reasonable compared to the homes right around the corner that were three times as much per week. The owner of this home was very friendly and easy to work with!

  We spent the week at the Sand Lott and wanted to stay longer. We had two adults and 3 kids so the setup was great. Three restrooms are a great asset when getting ready in the morning or after the beach. Only a short walk to the beach, which is very clean and not crowded. The rental is about 15 miles from Gulf Shores but it's relaxing to be away from the bumper to bumper traffic. The kitchen is well furnished. We cooked breakfast everyday and dinner most nights. We tried the local restaurants for lunch. I have mixed feelings writing this review, we love the place, but are afraid the word will get out about how great it is and it'll be booked solid next year. Lanelle was a gracious host and was always accessible if we had questions about the rental or where to try for lunch. I hope to return next year.

  My family and I just spent nearly a week at the SandLott, and really enjoyed it! This property was ideal for us, because my wife's mother was along for the trip (in addition to our two kids), and so having three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and shower, was just what we needed. No waiting for showers, we were all cleaned up within a half hour of getting back from the beach! Another reason it worked so well for us is that the kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed (in terms of cookware, utensils, etc). This is important when you're staying in Fort Morgan, because unless you want to drive 15 miles into Gulf Shores all the time, you're going to be doing some cooking. And we did just that, preparing every meal at the house from the time we arrived until the day we left...and the large kitchen table was perfect for family meals together. As advertised, each bedroom as well as the living room had a TV, and although I prefer to read while on vacation, we were able to watch two of Italy's Euro Cup victories at the house (the M-I-L is visiting from Italy, wife grew up there), so that was great. Also, the kids were able to watch Cartoon Network in their room, and you parents will understand the importance of that. Oh yeah, and the WiFi worked great...had two Kindle Fires, two iPhones and a laptop running off it, with no problems. The owner lives downstairs and is a sweetheart. She wasn't obtrusive at all, and we enjoyed chatting with her and picking her brain about the area, which she knows well. She also provided beach chairs and a couple of boogie boards (which the kids loved), and even a large beach umbrella which we used on the last day (along with one we had brought with us), and wished we had earlier! Speaking of the beach, it's clean, quiet and beautiful, and just a short walk down the street (I'd say about 250 yards or so, under 5 minutes). Despite it being peak season, it was not crowded at all, as there are no resorts or high rises nearby, it's mostly just the people vacationing in Surf Side Shores. There's an outside, private shower at bottom of the stairs at the house, which is perfect for rinsing the sand and salt off before you head up. Due to everything I mentioned above, it really would be tough to find a better value than the SandLott. I highly recommend it, and hope you enjoy your stay...I know we're looking forward to returning!

  Very lovely stay here. Walking distance to the beach made it perfect without being highly expensive. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing all the sand off of the kids and us after a hard day at the beach. The house was clean and perfect for our family. We had a great time and never wanted to leave. Thanks Lanelle!

  SPEND THE WEEK AT THE BEACH VISITING MY MOM HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AS ALL WAYS. SHE JUST REDONE HER BEACH HOUSE IT WAS BEAUTFUL. THE BEACH WAS GREAT AS ALWAYS. tHE SEA FOOD WAS DELICIOUS.

  I Staid at the sandlott . It has a great experience and hope to come back often. The owner lives downstairs. She was a lot of help on where to eat and shop The house was very clean and the decoration was beautiful.We had a wondful time on the beach just a short walk and not overly crowded .
