A classic, charming, water's edge house with rare and spectacular wide open views of the ocean, near & distant islands & easy access to a private beach. Ideally located on the point, the recently renovated sun filled house sits privately amidst green lawns on a rise just 20’ from the water's edge. A quiet, larger rare property boasts wraparound water frontage along a curving shore and beach. Marvel at the ever-changing seascape while you soak in the hot tub. Relax in Adirondack chairs & watch the parade of boats sail by. Enjoy quiet privacy. Perfect for children, swim at the beach at the house, venture across the sand at low tide, search for beach glass & explore Treasure Island or walk to Crescent Beach. This sunny year-round Maine house is fresh, clean & comfortable with breathtaking views inside & out. The living room with wrap windows affords plenty of comfortable seating. Each bedroom has water views, comfortable beds & fresh cotton linens.
Perfect for an unforgettable vacation!
Occupying a rare position on the shore unobstructed by trees that are plentiful elsewhere, this hard-to-find property boasts panoramic views of the open ocean, Muscle Ridge Channel and the islands that dot the coast all the way into the distance. From around the point to the left you can see all sorts of boats traveling up and down the coast from kayaks to schooners and then watch them recede into the far distance.
Treasure View Beach House is a classic and comfortable year-round Maine house with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living room where wrap windows to the south, east and west bring in the drama of the oceanfront setting. Here it is always amazing how the colors and the light are forever changing. The intensity of the sunsets are indescribable. Use the binoculars or the telescope to watch the lobster boats, the tall ships, the eagles and ospreys and the seals.
At night, perhaps from the hot tub on the deck, you can count the stars. Each bedroom has water views, comfortable beds and cotton linens. The proximity to the water brings the soft and soothing sound of gentle waves and cooling breezes even on the hottest days of summer. It is possible to have the best sleep here.
The fully equipped and well lit kitchen and the dining room with breakfast bar accommodate cooking and gathering while being convenient to the deck for grilling and outdoor dining.
For stay at home entertainment there are 2 cable televisions, wireless broadband, stereo, DVD and VCR players and lots of games, puzzles and books. Outdoors you can play croquet or badminton on the lawn or retreat to the serenity of the screened pavilion 10' from the water's edge.
Walk to Crescent beach or climb down the rocks to enjoy the beach at the house. Launch your kayak to explore the shoreline. Bike, walk or drive 1.5 miles to the Owl's Head Light house for amazing panoramic views.
An abundance of outdoor seating is provided for friends and family to sit and relax and take in the view. In the water close by is a boulder, called a glacial erratic, that re-appears sitting on the sand when the tide goes out, dividing an arc of long low waves. Small rocky Treasure Island is a gem connected to the beach only at low tide, with its little protected cove, its stand of spruces and an ancient lobsterman’s shack. This is the evocative shorescape view which can be recognized in numerous 19th c. paintings of the Maine coast. All photos in this listing were taken from our house or from the lawns. They are the best views and best light in the area.
Ski:
Winter is beautiful on the water in Maine. This year round house is cozy and warm in winter. Walks along the beach are still beautiful and with restaurants, shops and galleries conveniently located a short drive away in the historic towns of Rockland and Camden there is still plenty to explore.
Skiing at The Camden Snow Bowl, about 20 minutes drive. A community owned ski and recreation area that is fun for the whole family. From the summit of 1300' Ragged Mountain skiers have an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding, there are many other winter activities available at the Snow Bowl. A snow tubing slope provides fun for all family members, ice skating on Hosmer pond and there is a thrilling 400' toboggan chute.
Other Activities:
kayaking, hiking, ferries to local islands.

Hello Margie and Jamie, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful week we had. The house was great and the weather was great too. We all enjoyed ourselves sooo much. The views were just fantastic all week. We explored light houses and around the area. Mostly we relaxed in the front yard watching the tides come and go. The resident swan (we named him Aflac) kept us entertained too. Thanks for a wonderful house to let us feel at home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have just spent a most wonderful week in this lovely Home. The house was clean, bright, and just right for our needs. We love to cook and found the kitchen very well equipped for our needs. The views are fabulous and ever changing. The beach was great to walk along and find treasures in the sand. It was in a great location to do site seeing or just to sit and relax. I would be happy to come back here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We are so happy you enjoyed our house on the water in Maine. September is such a great time to enjoy the the beauty of this area and the water. We hope you will return some day so you can once again relax and watch the boats go by.

We have had a wonderful two weeks in Maine. Thank you for opening your lovely house to enjoy and relax in. As our daughter would say, we " chillaxed". The weather has been beautiful. The kids loved searching for treasure and exploring the island. It was nice to be able to sit and read while the kids played on the rocks. We've enjoyed climbing Mt. Battie, running around Fort Knox, walking the Rockland Breakwater and seeing the lobsters at the Aquariium. We also saw 10 lighthouses by boat, train, car, or on foot. Our family has enjoyed the time together in this lovely house. Hopefully we will be able to stay longer next year. There are some beautiful libraries in the area. We also were able to visit libraries including Maine State Library in Augusta. As you can see we kept our selves busy enjoying the area. One of the most beautiful things we saw was a bald eagle soaring over the water. It truly is a majestic bird. We saw another one while in Boothbay. My husband's best moment was finding a Swiss diving watch while combing the beach. Our family has enjoyed the time together in this lovely cottage. Hopefully it will be for 3 weeks next year. It truly does feel like home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This has been the most relaxing vacation that we have had in years. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with our family. We love to cook and entertain and anything you could ever need is right here. Amazingly well equipped- very classy! Tastefully decorated with incredible views. Our 2 year old grandson spotted a mother duck with babies and loved to walk along the beach finding shells and sand dollars! We soothed our weary bones in the hot tub and spent many hours reminiscing about how simple our lives used to be- which is exactly what our week here was like! After traveling to many places-dealing with luggage, airports, delays, foreign currency we finally realized that paradise is right here!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
