UPSTAIRS SLEEPS 4 : The upstairs has an open kitchen/dining and living room with gas fireplace and built ins. The living area has a TV area with views and a half bath off the living area. There is a master bedroom with master bathroom and a balcony deck. There is a sofa bed, the upstairs area comfortably sleeps 4.

Hi Louise, We had a wonderful time staying in Broken Top! It really is a lovely community and met our needs perfectly. The top level was a great fit for us and the king size bed allowed the 3 of us to sleep very comfortably. It provided all the comforts of home in a quiet and beautiful development. The location allowed us to easily explore several restaurants, parks and the High Desert Museum. I am planning to write a 5 star review on VRBO when I get a chance. Thank you again for the well-kept and affordable condo. And for the late check-out! We were able to ensure that we didn't leave anything behind and review the check-out list while the baby slept and without being rushed. We spent a long weekend at the town home in February for a family get together. There were 4 adults and 2 children. We had a wonderful time, which included sunny skies and awesome skiing at Mt Bachelor. We all agreed that the living room, deck, and upstairs lounge/kitchen area was very comfortable, especially with the fireplace. The kitchen was stocked well with pans and accessories, and we liked how it was decorated. I appreciated how cosy and comfortable we felt after a long days of skiing. Access to My Bachelor was great and we enjoyed the location being close to Old Mill. My husband was pleased that there was cable so he could watch his team's football game. Hi Louise, Thank-you for such a great long weekend, we absolutely loved the townhome. We went skiing at Mt Bachelor both days and there was over 9 feet of snow so we had the most amazing powder, on the Sunday there was 27 inchs of fresh snow!!! My family of 4 arrived to Broken Top in the late afternoon and were welcomed to a beautiful gated community just a short distance from our favorite areas (Old Mill District, grocery stores, Seventh Mtn. Resort for ice skating). The decor is fairly up to date and rooms spacious. We invited another family of 4 to stay with us on the first floor suite and they were pleasantly comfortable. We all were comfortable in the upstairs living space. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and flatware to cook and eat our meals. The most valuable thing for us was having the laundry room attached to the garage so that we could dry all our wet snow gear after snow play and the ability to park in a garage. The unit was just a short walk from the Members only Clubhouse and golf course. We didn't get a chance to eat the the restaurant, but did enjoy a cup of coffee in the lobby overlooking the beautiful views of the frozen lake and snow covered mountain tops. There was a lot of snow this season and we found that we didn't have to go far for the kids to play in the snow. The golf course had plenty of snow and hills and that's all we needed to have fun. We highly recommend this unit and plan on returning in the future. The owners are extremely helpful and responded quickly when I emailed them for questions or concerns.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We just got back from a mini vacation in Bend and we were really pleased with the accommodations - accurately represented by the photos. The rental includes two separate living areas on each floor. The only difference being that the main floor is larger and has a full kitchen and dining area. It's a perfect arrangement for two families as each "suite" has a hide-a-bed too. The location is a short drive to the downtown Bend, as well as the Old Mill area. It's also an easy drive up to Mt. Bachelor for skiing. The owner made the rental process easy and was very responsive. I would recommend this rental to a friend and would definitely rent it again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

About the owner: The Barnard Family moved to Oregon from Australia in 2005. As a piece of interest we have included Mark's profile below that is listed at Oregon State University....... Mark Barnard, the former head coach of the Australian Women's National Team, officially joined the Oregon State University volleyball staff on July 22, 2005 and begins his 8th season with the program. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in July 2008. Barnard brings with him a long list of accomplishments within the volleyball community. Barnard has coached at the international level for over 11 years and has been the head coach of the Australian Women's National Team since 2001. A native of Sydney, Australia, Barnard was an assistant for the National Team from 1997-00, including the Sydney Olympics. During that time Barnard also served as head coach of the women's national junior team (1999-2000) and women's national youth team (1997-99). In 2001 Barnard led the National Team of Australia to its first qualification to the World Championships in over 20 years. At its height, the Australian team was ranked No. 12 in the world. Barnard, who broke into coaching at the high school level, coached at Westfields Sports High School from 1992-97. They won the National Championships in 1995-96 becoming the first school to ever achieve this honor. He also spent time coaching the National Junior Men's Team from 1994-97. Barnard was no slouch on the court either, playing on the 1984 Australian Junior Men's Team and also played on New South Wales Junior Teams from 1982-87, three times winning the National Championships and was an All-Australian 12 selection. Barnard is a 1991 graduate of the University of Sydney with a degree in Education and Science. Mark and his wife, Louise, have two children, Isabella, and Alexander.
Why the Owner Chose Bend:
We have an Oceanfront Beach House 'Magenta Shores' at Gleneden Beach, Oregon that we have rented out through VRBO 301179. We purchased this property in 2007. We have had such a great experience with VRBO and we have really enjoyed working with our guests. VRBO makes the whole process so easy and we have had outstanding reviews which is extremely rewarding. We love having a house on the ocean and decided we would love to have a house near skiing and the downtown activity of Bend. We have been looking for the past couple of years and when we found 'The Courtyards' Broken Top we knew this was the place for us. We purchased the home in April 2012 and have already had many inquiries and a few bookings which we are excited about. We absolutely love the townhome, it had been freshly painted, new carpet, updated furniture and had such an upmarket feel that we fell in love with it immediately. The location is perfect as is is so close to skiing but still so close to downtown. We are all so excited about our new purchase.

Our family loves being so close to all the cool things to do in Bend. We love going for coffee at Strictly Organic Coffee in The Old Mill District or Backporch Coffee Roaster opposite the Newport St Markets and also brunch at the Broken Top Restaurant is also a favorite for us. We love that the location is so close to all the things we love doing in Bend. This is definitely the ultimate location in Bend for us!
