There are two parks equipped with a boat launch just a short distance down the road, one with a playground, basketball court, horseshoes, volleyball and a bouyed off area for small children to splash and play.

We absolutely loved staying at Eagles Nest. The house is well appointed, location on the lake with the no bank waterfront,and the kayaks, peddleboats etc. for our use made it perfect. We enjoyed this lake front property, wonderful outdoor deck/patio to sit, relax and enjoy the lake/mountain views. The bbq area was perfect, and all the outdoor seating was much enjoyed every evening as well as the lakeside firepit. Everything we needed was at our fingertips due to the thoughtfulness of the owners. Our only regret is that we have shown pics of Eagles Nest to all of our friends and extended families and they will be eating up the availability....Shucks! (And oysters and steamer clams close by on Hood canal, too) Thank you owners (& property manager) for making this work for our situation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed a lot this lake front property, wonderful outdoor deck/patio to sit, relax and enjoy the lake/mountain views. In door, we love the air conditioning and flat screen TVs, the big kitchen equipped with high end appliances, didn't get the chance to try the indoor sauna tho, not enough time ! Have to remember tho, the lake's water level drops a lot in September and you won't be able to throw a line off the dock if you're thinking about fishing off the dock.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We are at the end of the Summer vacation period for Washington State and take pride in all of the positive review and bookings already for the Summer of 2013. All reviews have been 5 star except for this one and according to your review the 4 star rating is only due to the lake level beginning to drop for the Winter months. The kids loved walking into the lake to swim and jumping off the floating swim dock. The bbq area was perfect, and all the outdoor seating was much enjoyed every evening as well as the lakeside firepit. Great location, beautiful views and comfortable, clean home, great for large parties. Kayaks and paddle boats were much enjoyed by the entire family. I recommend midnight kayaking! Very close to beautiful trails at Staircase, highly recommend as well. We had such a great time, my parents who flew in from California were very impressed, and we are already talking about coming back again next year! Although the paddle boat was broken as well as the hot tub, and the dishwasher leaked the last day, the home is beautiful, modern, right on a beautiful lake with lots of home comforts inside and out. We loved it and know that the minor inconvenious of the paddle boat, hot tub and dishwasher did not outweigh the amount of fun and pleasure we derived from our stay. I would definitely recommend this home to my friends, family and I would like to return for another stay as long as it is a rental home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderfull time at this beautiful, well appointed, very modern home.Everything we needed was at our fingertips due to the thoughtfulness of the owners. The lake and surrounding areas were breathtaking. With two young grandchildren,and four adults; we used everything there and really enjoyed our special relaxing,fun time together. Our only regret is we didn't book it for a longer time. We would recommend this lakefront home to everyone.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

You can fish off the dock, take the kayak on the beach for a 2-person paddle or take a swim from your backyard. We brought 11 people for a 3-day vacation and the house easily accomodated all of us. The kitchen is big and has great appliances and the views of the lake never quit. The firepit and bbq areas worked perfectly and, if you're after sun, fun and water. Eagle's Nest is to be seriously considered. About the owner: We are the second generation in our home at Lake Cushman the property has been family owned since the start of the Tacoma Power Lake Cushman Development. We have had the luxury of living in a beautiful wilderness setting for the past 18 years.
