  Our stay at the beach house was excellent. It was both restful and relaxing. We were able to see the dolphins twice each day. In the morning swimming up the coast and then in the afternoon swimming back. We also saw a whale on the last day which was amazing. It is just off shore we assuming eating. I would recommend a staying to anyone. It was great.

  Luckily, we stumbled across this listing while searching for a beach house to rent for a summer vacation. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be! I had never heard of La Selva Beach before, so we weren't really sure what to expect. We could not have been more pleased! The home is well maintained and super clean. The views from the living room and bedrooms are superb...one of our favorite treats was to sleep with the windows open to feel the refreshing sea breeze and to hear the relaxing sound of the waves. We stocked up on non-perishables before we left home, and once we arrived, went to the market in Aptos to get milk, eggs, etc. This helped save a little money since the markets in the area tend to be quite pricey. There were no surprises when we checked in...the house was exactly as the pictures depicted. Katelijn was a joy to work with, and answered questions quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this property...for us, it was absolute perfection! We will definitely be staying here again.

  We loved our time at this beach house. Would highly recommend this to anyone. My favorite unexpected touch was the 2 ocean lights that came on after dark so there was a beautiful view even at night. Clean, modern decor, plenty of seating, well stocked kitchen (bring your own kitchen towels, foil and plastic wrap). Great place to watch the surfers and pelicans diving for fish. Awesome!

  We had a wonderful 4 days at 408 Oceanview. The property was clean, and the description accurate. During booking the owner was very helpful in answering questions, and getting the booking complete. The arrival information and check out information was clear and understandable. The beach is just beautiful all day long. It is easy to get to down the back stairs. We loved watching the dolphins and other marine life from the deck. The sumset was amazing. The location is great and within about 30 minutes we were able to go on a Redwood train ride, the Santa Cruz boardwalk, Whalewatching, the Monterey Aquarium, and much more. There are only 2 take out places that we found to deliver, and the closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away. There is a small convienience store in Seascape whihc is about 5 minutes. Overall, a great location and comfortable accomodations for our family. We enjoyed our stay!

  The townhouse was everything we hoped for. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning & evening while listening to the waves roll in. The kitchen was very well stocked. The pictures depicted the house wonderfully, and it was an ideal location. Our family of 5 was very comfortable, and we all had a fabulous time. Katelijn was very quick to respond when we booked the townhouse, and Marji was very nice to work with while we were there. Monterey & Santa Cruz are very close by for shopping and dining. We enjoyed several evenings roasting s'mores on the beach, and the BBQ grill was very nice to have. We did chose to bring out own linens (comforters & pillows are provided), but you will want to remember to bring your own beach towels & and any boogie boards or beach chairs you may want to use. We will definitely keep this property in mind if we make another trip to California. Thanks for helping make our vacation amazing!

  When we thought about taking a last minute get-away.. we thought go down the coast... after checking out rentals in Santa Cruz and Capitola.. we found Katelijn's Beach House and upon first look at the pictures on the website and the write up we knew this would be perfect. Even though Katelijn was out of the country when I contacted her to see about a last minute booking she promptly returned my call. I was somewhat skeptical about doing a vacation rental as we have always done hotels in the past. But Katelijn was so forthcoming to answer questions and help with the planning. Arriving on a beautiful day and walking in to hear the ocean from the bedroom windows we all knew this was the perfect beach house. Going downstairs and seeing the new remodeled kitchen and living area we were overwhelmed with satisfaction. With only a few steps till your feet are in sand made it a convenience to go and play on the beach daily. Sleeping at night hearing the ocean made it peaceful and relaxing. Out daughter talks about the beach house daily and we cannot wait to book another stay. As our first vacation rental we are very grateful that we found Katelijn and look forward to many more beach stays in here property.

  My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend vacation to this beachfront property - It was a lovely place to stay and a great surprise! We sat on the deck, ate BBQ, and enjoyed the sunset over the ocean. In the mornings it was lovely to sit with a cup of coffee from the balcony and see the surfers catching waves. The place was extremely clean and seemed to have been remodeled recently, with a new couch, new kitchen, and new hardwood flooring. One caveat - bring your own sheets, bath towels and kitchen rags, as no linens are provided. We have already recommended this beach house to many of our friends, and would definitely return!

  This was our first stay in La Selva Beach, the location cannot be beat. This place was very clean and easy to live in for a few days. It was very simple to get down to the sand below - close enough that walking back up to the house was quick and easy - a big deal when you have little kids like we do. Also, the amenities in the house were exactly what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and had updated appliances that all worked flawlessly. We cooked several meals while there including one where we used the barbecue grill on the deck. The bedrooms were simple, enough space, and very functional for us - our kids are 4 and 2 and took the twin beds, we had the king in the other room. Walls were thick enough to give everyone a good night's sleep however you could still hear the ocean - the best part of the trip :) I will definitely return to the area and to this rental property with our family. I would highly recommend it for groups of 4, more than that might be a little tight but with this location the couch is all I would need!
