  Rick and Cindy, I wanted to thank you both so much for letting me stay at your Maui home. I had a great time and found your home to be the “ Zen “ I really needed. I have stayed in a couple other condos at Royal Kahana in the past and they do not compare with your unit. You both have great taste in the finishes and furnishings you chose to the condo. All the extra work you put into the place made it feel like home, the only problem was leaving… I didn’t want to. I’m also glad that I could have a couple minutes and meet you both. I will hopefully be coming back to Maui in October and will check your availability for 1014 or even the studio when I decide on the dates. Thank you again for sharing your Maui home with others. I hope everything was ok when you came back, as I tried to keep the place as neat and orderly as when you turned it over to me. Enjoy your time on the island. I wish I was there.

  We love West Maui and, in particular, the Royal Kahana condominium resort. Whether a week or a month, this condo provides everything you need for daily living and more. It definitely exceeded our expections.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This place was perfect! Rick was so easy to work with. Everything from booking our stay until our departure was so easy. The resort itself is in a dated complex, and Kahana definitely isn't my favorite beach. We didn't even have a desire to hang out by the pool. BUT, this condo was immaculate. It's been newly remodeled. It was the perfect "home away from home". About 15 minutes from Lahaina and lots of restaurants. The view from the lanai was amazing, sunsets especially! Super close to the Gazebo Restaurant at Napili Bay where we frequently had breakfast. Rick has thought of everything. We made good use of the cooler, beach mats, boogie boards, etc. It was so nice to not have to pay extra to rent those items. We didn't use the kitchen much other than the refrigerator, but it's stocked with everything you could possibly need to make a full meal. I think the location of the condo was perfect for all that we wanted to do. We loved every second of our vacation. I only wish I was there now!

  We just spent two weeks over Xmas and New Year at Rick's condo in Maui. The pictures of the condo accurately reflect the lovely one bedroom condo right on the beach. We made full use of the washer and dryer, fridge and stove. We also made good use of the reusable grocery bags and cooler. We used the beach chairs, towels and boards. In short, we used the condo to the fullest and enjoyed it very much. The king size bed was comfortable. We didn't use the air conditioner as the breeze provided with the windows open made the condo very comfortable, even for sleeping. The free wireless internet was a bonus. We didn't watch the television much as we had several early mornings with the activities we chose and so were in bed early too. The information Rick provided in advance was very helpful in planning our holiday. We hope to return to Maui and would hope to be able to return to this location. Thank you for sharing your piece of sun, sea and sand with us.

  This was our first vacation since 2008 and so much more than we could've hoped for !! This condo exceeded all expectations. So beautifully decorated, spectacular views, clean and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in !! This was our sixth trip to Maui and will definately be staying in this unit again. Rick and Cindy couldn't have been more accomodating and have furnished everything and made it a home away from home !! Usually starting our day with a walk on the beach and head out for the day. We have all of our favorite places, Front Street, the Gazebo, Kula Lodge for coffee and desert, massages at the Maui Therapeudic Massage School in Makawao, visiting Jupiter Nielsen glassblowing artist at Hot Island Glass in Makawao, the wind-surfers in Paia. We found some new places this time, Fleetwood's on Front Street (Mick Fleetwood's new restaurant and bar), the Lavander Farm, Sacred Garden, lots more. We don't stop from the time we arrive until we leave, there's so much to see and do. It's We have done the the Road to Hana tour two times and it's so worth it (we recommend paying for the tour so everyone can enjoy the scenery/sights) We took the ferry to Lanai for the day, rented a jeep and saw alot but would love to go back, take a tour and let someone else do the driving that's familiar with the island. We have stayed in privately owned condos in the past and have been pleased with the units (that's why we keep returning). But ......we will always stay here as long as Rick and Cindy own it and are willing to share it with us.

  Wow! We come to Maui every year for at least 3 weeks; always stay at the Royal Kahana. The owners are SO easy to work with, and so accommodating! Fully stocked kitchen, lots of appliances, beautifully appointed and what a nice bed! Great view, fantastic trade winds, and yes there was construction going on but except for the days when their weren't any winds, we kept windows open. Love those winds! The Royal Kahana is close to everything! The Gazebo restaurant isn't far away, lots of stores near by, the new Kahana Grill, too. We already know we wouldn't dream of staying in any other condo. Everything they say in their ad is true, and nobody could be disappointed with this unit! Can't wait for our next visit! Mahalo Rick and Cindy, for all that you did for us. You made our stay perfect!

  Great location, beautiful condo and better owners. Cindy and Rick are great to work with. Their responsive communication helped these first time VRBO renters through the entire process and made our stay an enjoyable one. Their property description says it all. The views from the 10th floor unit are phenonenal. This property is centrally located - close to shopping districts, restaurants, all the west Maui beaches and plentiful snorkeling locations. The added bonus are the green sea turtles that take their short, mid day breaks on the beaches around the Royal Kahana. Visitors would have to try pretty hard to have a bad day on Maui.   We had a great time staying at your condo Royal Kahana unit 1014 in August 2012. We've been to Maui and stayed at other Royal Kahana units in the past. This was the best unit by far. It felt like we were staying in your beautiful home rather than a rental unit. The unit is very well furnished and appointed. The view is great and the sound of the ocean was very relaxing. We highly recommend this unit and the owner was very helpful and friendly also. We look forward to returning to Maui and staying there in the future. Mahalo

  Nine days in Maui (our first trip) for our 30th anniversary and the condo was fantastic. Completely renovated with beautiful furnishings and every convenience. The view was lovely and the location was within walking distance to a nice little store, several nice restaurants (and McDonald's for quick breakfasts), and various activities. The complex has a nice pool, fitness area, beach and pool house snack bar. The owner was great to work with and very helpful with information about the island. We have been very lucky with our VRBO rentals and this was no exception. This Kahana rental was so much more reasonably priced than areas to the South and the location made it easy to get around. There were beach accessories, towels, cooler, chairs, and boogie boards. This was so much more than we can get at our "home" beach (Orange Beach, AL) for half the price!!! Great bathroom (beautiful tile), great kitchen (fully stocked and beautiful granite countertops and cabinets). Every appliance you could need. Brand new TVs with blu-ray players (although we kept it on the visitor channel most of the time). Fantastic closet set up with tons of storage, hangers, and suitcase holder , in addition to all the storage in the bedroom. LOVED that we had a washer/dryer and A/C. There was some construction out front so we kept the doors and windows closed during the day, but at nght, the breeze was great! MANY people were grilling every night at the grills by the pool (we may try that if we go back stay for a month....but I'd much rather eat out :-)!) Beautiful sunsets! I would highly recommend this condo for a couple. We hope to go back during whale season....lovely views of Molokai and Lanai from the balcony (and great bar height chairs for viewing....a must in our opinion) We could snorkle right off the beach and saw several "humas" and two large turtles that seem to call Royal Kahana home. I miss it already!! There is a bus that comes right by the complex for easy transportation to Lahaina and Kaanapali if you don't want to drive! Great vacation. Great condo. Great owners. Only problem...we didn't see everything and we will have to go back!
