You can experience all the sights, sounds, culture and food of The Bahamas at a fraction of the cost of the local hotels when you stay at Paradise Lost Vacation Cottage. We are centrally located in Nassau and a great place to call your home base.
Paradise Lost has 2 bedrooms on the lower floor of a quaint home. We are close enough to have easy access to all the local attractions. The Atlantis Resort and our world famous Cabbage Beach with free public access, on Paradise Island, is a 15-20 minute walk. Deep sea diving, snorkling, parasailing, jetski tours are available.
Wendy’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and the grocery/liquor stores are all less than a 5 minute walk. Restaurants, pubs, fresh fish, Potter’s Cay’s markets and the bridge to Paradise Island are all within a 10 minute walk, and a 15-20 minute walk gets you into Paradise Island beach!
After a day of exploring you will enjoy retreating to Paradise Lost. Our Cottage is walled-in and gated for your privacy and security. As our guests you can relax in a Bahamian home-away-from-home that gives you all the amenities of a time share for less than the price of a square hotel room.
The great room has flat screen TV, Blueray DVD player, Internet and a Queen size sofa bed. The dining table seats six. The Master Bedroom has a King size bed, the second bedroom has a Full size bed. All rooms have ceiling fans. The two bedrooms and the great room have new ductless air conditioning.
You might be able to save enough money to pay for your vacation stay by cooking some of your meals in Paradise Lost Vacation Cottage newly redecorated and completely equipped kitchen. You get a full size refrigerator, electric range, microwave oven, dishwasher in addition to the dishes, cookware, cutlery, coffee pot, tea kettle and most of the other things you are likely to need to feel comfortable at home!
A car is optional at Paradise Lost Vacation Cottage. Taxi and bus service is convenient.
We will gladly give you any recommendations for taxi service, rental cars, restaurants, tours and the like.
Complete wedding and honeymoon planning is also available for any budget!
You may want to walk over and visit the world famous Atlantis resort and its multitude of things to do including the shoppes, fine dining, casino, water park and much more. Cabbage Beach is the closest beach and the favorite of many locals. Historic downtown Nassau is a 10 minute taxi or car ride away.
You will want to include some of the following in your sightseeing: Fort Montague; Fort Fincastle; Fort Charlotte; Queen’s Staircase; Pompey Museum; the Houses of Parliament; the statue of Christopher Columbus which commemorates his discovery of the New World; Bahamas Historical Museum; Ardastra Gardens and Zoo; Botanical Gardens; the Cloisters; and Walking Tours for $5 per person. Tour Old Nassau in a horse-drawn carriage and see the famous Nassau Straw Market.

We had such a great time at Cathy's cottage. She was wonderful and answered any questions we had. The house was a really cute house. Property is very clean and proved an ideal setting for our Bahamas beach wedding. Set in a nice Nassau neighborhood, away from the tourist crowds. Owners Kathy and Bob are super friendly and helpful and even lent us baby cod and high chair. Having our own kitchen saved us a lot of money on restaurants. Perfect size for our party of 5. All I can say is, we made the right choice. Paradise Lost, a beautiful, snug cottage was great!! and we felt right at home. We loved that it was very close to Paradise Island where we spent a day on the slides. The beaches are amazing and snorkeling is a must. There's tons of fun activities to do with family like Dolphin Encounters or taking a boat ride to Black Beard's Key.I had a fantastic time!Wish I could have stayed longer. I just had the best vacation at this cute and cozy cottage. The location is perfect: right outside of downtown Nassau and a few minutes walk from the bridge to Paradise island. The beaches are phenomenal and the Atlantis Resort is definitely a must see (only one of two in the world!) I found the culture to be so unique and interesting. Lots of local sights to see, food to try, and tourist attractions. This cottage is the perfect place to stay at...right in the midst of it all.
