About the owner: Hi, we are Laura and Patrick. We are both born in Belgium, where we met, got married, and lived untill May 2011. We had a very busy life, being self-employed, and both came to that point in our lives that we felt we were ready to make a change. In 2008 we first travelled in Canada, making a roadtrip from Toronto to Vancouver Island. That's when we fell in love with this country, its nature and its people, and the dream of ever being able to life here was born. Since one is never to old to chase one's dreams, we applied for our visa in 2009. In the meantime we came back to travel the Maritimes, so we could make a decision on where we wanted to live. Altough every place we visited had its own charme and appeal, we decided that British Columbia was the place for us. We proudly became permanent residents in October 2010, and returned again to find the exact location in BC. That's when we discovered the Okanagan Valley and we knew immediately this was the place we wanted to live. After having sold our house and business in Belgium, kissed goodby all our friends and family, we moved the Okanagan with 2 suitcases and our 2 dogs, Pacha and Day. Pacha is a small 14-year old mixed breed who thinks she is a really big dog, and Day is a 7-year old big leonberger mountaindog who thinks she is a lapdog. We soon found our dreamhouse in beautiful Peachland, moved here in september 2011.
