Great place to stay, had a wonderful time and if I ever get the chance to visit Seattle thus will be the first place I will check for availability. It's great for all ages, my 81 year old mother was with me and truly enjoyed every minute of it. The hot tub was great and the walks on the beach alone with the views were amazing. Pictures on VRBO doesn't do it justice at all. The owners were great and very friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The pictures do not do it justice! The house was very clean and modern. It's incredibly spacious. The living room comfortably seats at least 8 people at once. We had 6 in our group and there was plenty of room. It's fully stocked with all appliances you would need, and our kids loved playing the board games and video games. The view is amazing! The water is right across the street. We walked along the beach and went to several wonderful restaurants, all within walking distance. The Alki Beach Café is phenomenal. We went there twice in the same weekend, it was that good. I recommend this rental for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house is located just across the road from a public beach and is ideal for walking and biking, and yet very quiet. The view of the Olympic mountains and the Seattle skyline are fabulous. It is also within walking distance of several restaurants. The owner was very easy to contact and very responsive to all my requests. I will certainly recommend this house to my friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this unit for a dive weekend with friends and we are already planning a return visit!! Gorgeous homey unit, full kitchen and laundry in the unit, comfortable bedding, plenty of linens, lots of seating in the living room for large groups, welcome snack on the large dining table, hot and cold water to rinse our gear outside, hot tub with views of the Seattle skyline, I just can't say enough!!! Superb location! Walk across the street to dive the Alki "Junkyard", just down the street from Alki Coves 1-3 and a dive shop for air, half hour from Edmonds Underwater Park, and there are so many other local places to shore dive. Restaurants line the street starting at the next block. Marination restaurant is a MUST TRY at the water taxi pier at Alki Cove 1. Their authentic Hawaiian shave ice is AMAZING!! Downtown Seattle, Pike's Market, the Waterfront, is a short drive or on Summer weekends, just a water taxi ride away! The owners are onsite and available for anything you need. Super friendly and accommodating, above and beyond all expectations. Thank you Dylan for a fantastic weekend!! Hopefully once word gets out how amazing your place is, we will still be able to find openings!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

A group of us stayed at this house, it was clean, very well stocked, and a perfect location for diver's. The owner even hooked up hot and cold water outside for us to wash our scuba gear off. If you are a diver you will know how great that is in the cold weather. We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Perfect location to explore Alki beach and West Seattle. Comfortable house with everything we needed. Even in the winter, it is fun to be at the beach. It was a great spot to visit our family in the area. Thank you!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Not too often you get to enjoy beach front property in Seattle, watching passenger ferries, container ships, tugboats, sea lions and orcas but here at Alki Beach it is all possible. The Seattle skyline, including the space needle are a pretty sight in the evening and the outdoor activities such as kayaking, jogging and walking the strip are convenient pleasures. The Cactus Restaurant makes a great Margarita and you are within walking distance of at least a half dozen restaurants and a couple of coffee shops including Tully's and Starbuck's. This relatively new ground level construction is a great gathering spot for up to 8 guests. The proprietors make sure your stay is clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with the rental accommodations, the proximity to restaurants and the views - as they say, location, location, location.Did you find this review helpful? This rental house is perfect! It is spacious, large kitchen (a must for me) and everything you could need in your home away from home. And did I mention that it is in a Perfect location. Easy to get to downtown Seattle if need be but plenty to do in West Seattle (Admiral, Alaska Junction{Bakery Nouveau is a MUST!!}, Alki {Cactus, Celtic Swell and Alki Cafe}). Dylan is very accommodating and responsive, in short a wonderful host/manager! Love this place - already planning a trip back! Highly recommending this house for your upcoming vacation! Cancellation policy:
This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between _____________________________ (“Homeowner”) and _______________ (“Guest”) as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows: 1. Property. The property is located at: 2938 Alki AVE SW, Seattle WA 98116 2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of Guest and the following persons: Total of 2 people It has been agreed there shall be no weddings, graduation, reception, large parties or similar event without the written consent of the owner. 3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 8 persons. An additional charge or $25 per person per night for guests in addition to 2 will be assessed. 4. Term of the Lease. The lease begins at 4:00 p.m. on __________ (the “Check-in Date”) and ends at 11:00 a.m. on_________ (the “Checkout Date”). 5. Minimum Stay: This property requires a 3 night minimum stay. If the rental is vacated early, the guest will still be charged for the 3-night rate. 6. Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property. 7. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner. 8. Rental Rate and Fees a. Holding Fee Deposit: A deposit of ½ of the total rental amount is due at the signing of this agreement, (Unless booking occurs within 30 days of occupancy) but not less then $500. The $500.00 is non refundable but can be applied toward the rental fees. b. Damage Deposit: The damage deposit is $600 and shall be refunded within 7 days of the Checkout Date, (Damage protection Insurance is an acceptable alternative) provided no deductions are made due to: tenant have agreed to pay a fee of $49 for a damage deposit waiver. This allows for up to $400.00 in accidental damage, guest agrees to reimburse owner for any cost of damage over the $400 or the entire cost of any damage if such damage accrued for any reason other then it being purely an accident. i. damage to the property or furnishings; ii. dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning; or iii. any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. c. Rental Rate. Payment in full of the following fees shall be due within 30 days of the Check-in Date: Rental amount $____ per night x 3 nights = $ Cleaning fee $100.00 Sales Tax(9.5%) $ Property protection $49.00 Less Holding deposit $(500) (due upon reservation) Total amount due 30 days prior to occupancy 9. Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, and has pre-paid in full for the rental, the rental fees will be refunded as follows: 100% if cancelled 60 days prior to the Check-in Date, less hold fee. 50% if cancelled 31-59 days prior to the Check-in Date, less holding fee. 0% if cancelled less then 30 days prior to the Check-in Date. Example: Client books for 10 days, at signing deliverers $2000; cancels at 61 days prior to occupancy, receives refund of $1,500. Client cancels at 59 days they would be entitled to $1000 refund, client cancels at 30 days or less, client would not be entitled to any refund. 10. Insurance: We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. 10. Hot Tub: No children under the age of 16 permitted in hot tubs at any time without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Do not stand on the hot tub cover. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you may be charged for replacement. 11. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the system, you could be charged damages of up to actual costs of repair. 12. My wife and I fell in love with this property when we were 18 years old and were fortunate enough that when it came available for purchase 12 years later, we were able to buy it. Now we couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Almost daily we find the eagles in the tree outside the window. Harbor seals pass by and salmon jump in the summer. The wildlife and marine activity provide a constant stream of entertainment. One block away is the wonderful night life Alki has to offer. Within a flat 6 blocks walk along the beach there are 20 plus restaurants. The home overlooks the #3 diving hole along Alki, with the #1, next to Salty’s, and the #2 dive hole beside the fishing pier. Divers are welcome! Enjoy the outdoor hot and cold shower to clean off gear, or just the sand off your feet. Soak in the hot tub while you enjoy the sight of The Seattle Space Needle & the Washington Ferry traffic and the Argosy research vessels that tie up in front of the house for an afternoon of lessons. Divers are always coming and going in front of the house. Watch for the night lights.
