Perfect location & Beautiful house!
Perfect location & Beautiful house!
This rental house was just beautiful and the location was perfect! It was exactly what we needed and what we were looking for our visit to Seattle. We stayed for a week to visit our friends that lived just a quick 10 minute drive from the house. We purchased Seattle City Passes so we were out and about during the day so the house perfect to come home to and just be able to regroup and relax. The beautiful Green Lake is less than a 1/2 block across the street, and during the summer months the sun doesn't set until 10pm so it was perfect to go and relax and people watch or take a nice walk after a busy day. So Perfect! We met lovely Joanna when we first arrived as she was just putting the finishing touches in the house. There was a wonderful welcome basket full of goodies which we enjoyed very much and fresh cut flowers in the bathroom. We did not get to meet Jonathan during our stay but what a great experience we had with him in booking the house and answering all of our questions. Thank you so much for all your patience and kindness. We can't wait to come back again next year! Thank you for the fun memories that we made with family & friends in your wonderful, beautiful rental home!

Perfect stay and lovely sunsets
Perfect stay and lovely sunsets
We stayed at this awesome rental with our family of five (kids ages 1,4,6) and our dog for just over a month this past summer and loved it. The place is lovingly decorated, thoughtfully appointed, managed by super nice people, and is in a great location. We barely touched the car and spent most days walking to the coffee shops for breakfast, playing at the lake or park, and enjoying one of Seattle's best neighborhoods. We even recommended the place to friends of ours already since we enjoyed it so much. Just wish we had more time...maybe next summer if we're lucky!

Home Away from Home
Home Away from Home
This vacation rental exceeded our expectations! From the time we walked through the door we were just blown away on how beautiful & how much care has been put into this rental. On the kitchen table there was a handwritten note welcoming us with a basket of goodies to eat. Being that this was our first time traveling to Washington all the way from Maui, we wanted a place that would be a home away from home...this was it. We were extremely Blessed! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Mahalo Nui Loa

This adorable rental exceeded our expectations! The warm, welcoming ambiance envelopes you as soon as you walk through the front door. The atmosphere was earthy yet subtly sophisticated and, most importantly, very relaxing. The porch gives a clear view of bustling Greenlake and is a great place to sit and soak up the sun or have a glass of wine. The owners were extremely helpful and attentive in answering all of our questions before and during the trip. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The best rental ever!!
The best rental ever!!
My husband and I recently planned a trip to visit with our daughter and son-in-law in Seattle. Because of some rave reviews, we decided that we would like to book a property we found through VRBO located in Fremont. Unfortunately, it was unavailable, but when we contacted the owner, she suggested a brand new rental listing to be managed by her son, which was located in Green Lake. From the onset, I felt like we were going to Seattle to stay with old family friends. The son obviously learned well from his parents - he was quick to communicate with us from the very beginning. We received our lease right away, a welcoming letter followed, verification that our check was received, and an e-mail days before our arrival with information on how to find our key and a second note welcoming us to Seattle. We arrived to find a beautifully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped apartment in a lovely old Victorian home, in one of our favorite Seattle locations - a block away from Green Lake and less than two miles from our daughter in Ballard. Although the weather was less than perfect, we had a "home" to return to each day where we could simply relax, take a stroll around the lake, or cook a nice meal for our children after their long day at work. There were also several personal and charming touches - fresh cut flowers, suggestions on places to shop, dine and play, as well as a gift basket loaded with yummy treats! We were lucky enough to run into the entire clan (mom, dad and son) while we were in residence, and that was one of the highlights of our stay as well - a genuinely nice family. The final surprise in all this was returning home on a Tuesday and receiving (on Saturday) a hand-written note of thanks with our security deposit refund. We were certainly pleased to be the first renters of this beautiful property, which is even better than described, and look forward to returning in the future. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone - a real home away from home.

Year Purchased: 1984
About the owner: John and I (JoAnna) have been married 34 years and have enjoyed traveling with our family throughout the United States and many places in the world. Our best experiences in travel have been through finding vrbo's in neighborhoods and doing house swaps. We love Seattle and are excited to have a place we believe offers a home-like place to recharge and that is perfectly located for exploring our strong neighborhoods and all that the Northwest has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Green Lake:
The Worthen family has lived in this neighborhood since the 1950s, with John growing up next door. We lived in this home during early years of our family life and know well what a centrally located and beautiful area Green Lake is. We were excited when our son, Jonathan, was interested in managing this property for us and took on the project of turning this well-loved unit into a place where we can welcome guests coming to Seattle.
