I have lived in Oregon all my life and never knew about Netarts. This and the house were perfect for a romatic getaway coupled with a family dinner. I am going back for sure!

New Memories at Happy Camp
New Memories at Happy Camp
We had a small home overlooking Netarts Bay for nearly fifty years. I wanted to return and build new memories with my adult children and grandchildren and this home met my expectations. Love that home was on one level and no stairs other than entry way. Parking car under the house was great because of the storms while there. Bathrooms were well supplied with toiletries and towels. There were lots of blankets and comforters, extra sheet sets available which was so appreciated. The kitchen was beautifully stocked and more than met our needs. Dishes, mugs, silverware were wonderful quality! (A new hand crank can opener is needed as the one present is not opening cans properly and it took effort to finally get a can open.) Home is a breeze to enjoy and clean up after ourselves. Vacuum, broom, mop available as is a full assortment of cleaning products and laundry detergent. Please mention in your ad that you provide presto logs for the wood burning fireplace. We used the three provided and then bought another box. It was storming during our entire time there and kept a fire going all the time - everyone loved the beauty and warmth of the fire. Cannot say enough of how comfortable this home was to live in. Large dining table allowed family to sit and do a jigsaw puzzle on one end and play a game on the other! Wireless is excellent strength. We had tablet, notebook and laptop in use without any problems. I do feel led to mention that the lack of blinds across the three windows above the master bed was disconcerting for lack of privacy and light control! Had to keep bathroom shade drawn most of the way for privacy, too. Two additional windows without blinds high in the wall did not allow for comfortable sleeping in or napping! There is no bathtub in this home, which was odd and disappointing. I brought gift baskets for everyone and my girls were disappointed (me, too) that there was no large soaking tub to use their spa goodies. This is a luxurious home, but the lack of a tub and bedroom blinds was odd. (I know, to each his own! LOL) If these items do not trouble you, you will love this home. My family was thrilled despite those things I mentioned above and we brought endless memories, joy and laughter home with us. Thank you so very much for the use of your beautiful home. The unobstructed views of Netarts Bay and the ocean were exactly what I wanted to experience. I am very grateful - thank you, Susan!

Great family-friend times
Great family-friend times
We had this house (Great Escape) and The Reunion, next door. We had both friends and family...we didn't all know each other. There was plenty of room to have snacks in one house, dinner in the other, campfire in the yard, space to hide away and read (or work), and still watch the sun rise and set. What a great place to watch the tides change (outside and inside). We will be back often.

We had a wonderful time at this home. My husband & I & 4 grown children loved every minute of our stay. The location on the bay was perfect & one of my favorite things was watching the tide come in & transform the bay into the ocean. The home itself was ideal, a perfect size, all the little details down to laundry soap, & shampoo were a nice surprise. A very well equipped kitchen made meal times a breeze. Close to places to go hiking, & crabbing (what fun that was!) & of course long walks on the beach, & kite flying. All communications with the owners was effortless, Susan is very nice! Highly recommend this home!

Great place. Will probably come again. Great time for the kids on beach, bonfires, exploring. Enjoyed the differences in low vs. high tide more in bay rather than ocean. Lots of nearby places to visit. Good crabbing. Everything was better than advertized. More supplies than expected. Coffee mugs heat up in microwave too hot to touch. Need new and smaller mugs.

About the owner: We live in the Seattle area. We love to gather with family and friends in Netarts for outdoor fun and indoor relaxation.
Why the Owner Chose Netarts:
Netarts is a very relaxing, beautiful place. We bought the land and built in 2004 after friends of ours had done so a year earlier.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love family gatherings, hanging out reading, talking, playing games, watching the tides flow in and out of the bay; fishing in nearby streams/bays, crabbing in Netarts Bay and feasting on crab; and taking long walks on the beach or hikes on the nearby trails.
