Our lake house vacation home is right on incomparable Lake Pend Orielle. All the water sports, swimming and sandy beach fun you want is right at your doorstep. The house is in easy walking distance to downtown Sandpoint. Feel like a coffee? Starbucks is a 8 minute walk. Sandpoint is also blessed with some really great (and affordable) restaurants that are a quick stroll away. Want to people watch? Downtown & City beach are a 10 minute walk. Other local attractions include Switzer Mountain Resort (20 minute drive), Silverwood amusement park (30 minute drive) and the Sandpoint Marina.

Excellent place to stay for a fun Sandpoint weekend, great location. Close to town. We had a family get away and the rooms were perfect for everyone. The home has a great open concept living area that made meal prep fun. The beds were comfortable and the rooms good sized. The house was fully equipped with wood for the fireplace, all kitchen items needed, even the books were fun to look at. Nice deck and BBQ area out to the beach and waterfront, great view off the master bedroom to wake up to. We'll stay again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake house, comfortable spacious home with many amenities. The views of the lake were outstanding, snow capped mountains and bright sunrise/sunset. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Skiing close by at Schweitzer, and Sandpoint downtown offers plenty of shopping and dining options. We hope to return and enjoy this gem.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My friends and I enjoyed a great ski weekend at Schweitzer. This house was perfectly located. We were able to walk to downtown in about 10 minutes. The views from the house are amazing. Some of the highlights of this house were the huge living and dining space, great stereo with bluetooth so we could stream music from our computers or iPhones, heated garage which parked 2 cars, comfortable bedrooms and a nice open kitchen. We will definitely rent this again. Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I'm glad you enjoyed the sound system. We just added it this past fall. We had hoped the bluetooth connectivity would make it easy for our guests to be able to listen to their favorite music wirelessly. I'm happy to hear it is working well. The snow at Schweitzer this year is once again the best in the US. I bet the skiiing and riding was a blast! We hope to have you back again next winter.

Rented the house for a long weekend for 5 adults; 2 couples and a grown kid. The home was perfect. It gave us a place to congregate and enjoy the view. Your home was the perfect setting for our Class of 1968 Girls Weekend in Sandpoint. The deck provided a stunning view of the lake and was the perfect spot to share coffee and mimosa's in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you for the champagne for our mimosa's! We shared meals around your large table and the sleeping accomodations were perfect for our group of ladies. The home is within walking distance of downtown and we spent the better part of Saturday shopping, sharing lunch at Spuds overlooking the water and drinking latte's on the Bridge. We never moved our cars the entire weekend. The living room was perfect for sharing Chick Flicks and eating popcorn in the evening. Thank you for sharing your home with us, it was the perfect spot for a girls weekend get-a-way.Recommended for: Girls getaway.
Owner response: Being able to walk to everything in town and not get in the car for a few days is one of our favorite things about our place in Sandpoint. That all by itself makes even a few days in Sandpoint feel like a big holiday!

We spent 5 days at this spectacular home while on a golf trip with 4 guys. What a great location! It was ideal for lounging around on the deck after a tough day on the course and enjoying the lake views - perfect for a barbeque and a few bevy's. The location is ideal, walking distance to downtown where there is excepional dining and nightlife. Golf in the area is incredible as well. A Nicklaus course, The Idaho Club, is 20 minutes NE, and also the Coeur d'alene Resort, 40 mins south, one of the top 10 golf resorts in North America. Also, many other courses at reasonable prices with 30 minutes of Sandpoint. I recommend this home to anyone looking for a great lakefront retreat, no matter what the occasion! We'll be back, thanks again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: The Sandpoint area has some amazing golf courses that are incredibly affordable. I don't think many people realize the golfing opportunities that exist and the quality of the courses that are within a short drive from town.

Yes, it really is as beautiful as the pictures present and more. All the furniture, inside and out, is comfortable beyond belief, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the house temperature is perfect. You can walk to the Farmers Market, coffee shops, main shopping district and beautiful trails. There is something to do for all ages and in any weather. We will go year after year, thank you for sharing with us such a wonderful place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We try to have everything on hand so you can move in and start enjoying your holiday right away not after you have gone to the store to buy all the stuff you are used to having! Sandpoint really seems to have something going on every week and even in the off season there is live music and local events still happening around town.

My wife and I stayed here for a brief, four night honeymoon. It was a great place to unwind after the high-energy, fast-paced weekend and months planning and pulling off a wedding. The house is great. The owner had everything we needed and more. The deck is incredible, the dock was great for laying in the sun and tying up inflatables to float in the lake. We walked just a few blocks to meals at the Little Olive (Greek/Mediterranean), La Rosa (Tapas), Joel's (Mexican/Breakfast), and other restaurants in town. We didn't go to Schweitzer, but I imagine in the winter, it's the place to be and not far away (12-13 miles). The location was perfect for convenience, scenery, and relaxation! Also, the owner was flexible with our schedule and very responsive with emails. Definitely recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Congratulations on your wedding. I'm glad you enjoyed the house and the deck. We just added 200 sq.ft. to the deck that allows us to have a nice area for a 8 seat dining table. There is also a new tiltable umbrella to shade the sun during bright afternoons.

We loved this home. It was very clean and the location couldn't be better. The water is 10 steps from your door. We loved it so much we have already booked 2 weeks for next summer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are an active family of four who all love the water, skiing and boarding. Our family time is a top priority and we have found no place we enjoy more than the lake at Sandpoint.
Why the Owner Chose Sandpoint:
We fell in love with Sandpoint & the Lake Pend Orielle area when we first drove through in 2006. The lake is one of the most spectacular places we have visited in North America. Sandpoint has such a great vibe. There are so many great restaurants and downtown is alive with great local live music.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is an easy 20 minute drive and has some of the best skiing and riding in the US. Schweitzer is a real hidden gem and even on a busy weekend you will never wait long in a lift line.

Our professional and family activities really keep us busy and it is such a pleasure to go to Sandpoint, park the car and hardly touch it again until we leave. Everything you want to do is right at your doorstep or a pleasant 5 minute walk away.
One of our favorite things we try and do every summer we are at the lake is take the boat across to Hope and have a great meal at the 4 star restaurant at Beyond Hope Resort. The late afternoon boat ride, dinner and trip back is always a memorable highlight.
