This stunning 4500 sq ft Detroit Lake lodge offers amenities that no other home can offer! With an expansive deck built around a favorite family tree, the house features a hot tub, easy lake access, and a custom interior design that will make you want to stay!
The main floor of the house is the second floor as it features a large wood fireplace that is reminiscent of the Timberline Lodge in Mount Hood as the centerpiece of an opening living area. It is the perfect place to get warm on those cool crisp nights or just to set a romantic ambiance with that special someone. There is a large flat panel TV with satellite and a DVD player as well if you are in the mood to catch your favorite film.. The gourmet kitchen is large and fully stocked with a Viking gas stove and oven that will melt any chef's heart! The rest of the family can sit back and enjoy the meal at the 6 bar style seats in the kitchen or the adjoining dining room.
The house features three large bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen and a third loft bedroom with one full bed and one twin bed with a twin trundle. The three bathrooms are nothing short of luxurious as each has its own unique qualities, including an extra large shower and steam room that is the perfect place to unwind. The second bathroom features a large soaking tub and the third is another spacious full bathroom with tasteful decor.
The house sits on a large lot just a three minute walk from the lake and you can relax on the expansive deck and soak in the hot tub as you enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. This home makes your vacation a truly unique experience that you won't want to leave! You can even plan on watching the Fourth of July fireworks from this perfect deck that comes outfitted with speakers wired so that you can play your favorite tunes both inside and out.
Detroit Lake is a wonderful place to be all year long! In the summer, the house comes with free access to a boat slip that you can use for a rental or a boat that you bring on your own to enjoy many of the lake's activities such as water skiing, fishing and tubing! Rent paddle boards and kayaks for kids and adults alike at the new Experience Store downtown--our guests enjoy 20% off! The winter offers skiing at nearby Hoodoo Mountain Resort (40 minutes drive time) and luxurious hot springs at Breitenbush (only 11 miles away). The spring and fall bring opportunities to check out the countless local hiking trails with mountain and lake views. There are also an abundance of great local restaurants and shops to check out!

Our family enjoyed celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary at this home. It was beautiful and very comfortable. We would like to come back again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Our stay at the lodge in Detroit was very enjoyable. There was plenty of room for all nine of us to visit and play together as well as get away for some private time. the kitchen was a dream and oh, we all loved our turn at being the chef for the night. The range, counters, well supplied utensils and dishes made the preparation and serving as pleasing as the eating of the meals. The well secluded spot gave us plenty of privacy. The home was elegant yet comfortable with the mountain lodge feel. We went and explored the ice caves, road bikes, hiked trails and rented a pontoon boat for a day on the lake.where we all got to be kids again. It was a wonderful family time and we will be returning again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
