About the owner: We are retired professionals from Arizona.
Why the Owner Chose Gibsons: We fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of this small unique community as well as the incredible summer weather as compared to Arizona. It is unique in that it can only be reached by drive-on ferry from Horseshoe Bay just north of Vancouver. The one-way trip is 40 minutes. Because of that it is a very quiet vacation retreat, but there are summer farmers' markets, arts and craft markets and community activities. A small hospital is 20km away in Sechelt with air lift capabilities to Vancouver.
The Unique Benefits at this House: We are less than 1km from Lower Gibsons. Major shopping areas are in Upper Gibsons or Sechelt which requires driving. Our favorite ritual is watching the boating traffic on Howe Sound and looking for the elusive bald eagles as they fly by while we are sitting on the deck sipping our wine.
