  I highly recommend staying in this wonderful house. The floor plan is perfect for privacy and the property is completely secluded. The beauty of the beach within an easy walk is unsurpassed on the Vineyard. Everything about our stay was perfect. We are grateful for the peace and serenity this house provided us.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Our second time here, this time without the kids. (and I don't think we've had so much peace and quiet since they were born) lol! We love this home! Beautiful secluded location, yet close to beach and town. The beach is lovely! The art collection at the house is amazing. Everything you might need for a relaxing vacation can be found at this house. It is true the doors don't lock here but felt very safe. We also enjoy all the hiking trails that the island has to offer.

  We loved our vacation at this wonderfully secluded charming home filled with antiques and art. The home has all the personal amenities we needed. There is great flow for family living. The outdoor deck was wonderful for our mornings and evenings. Lot's of privacy and very attractive sculpture gardens surround the house. The location has easy access to ferry & groceries & shopping. Ideal!!! Best part is the beach!! You can walk or drive to Lambert's Cove beach. This is one of the most beautiful horse shoe strands of sand on this planet. We started every morning with a long beach walk and a dip only to return with our picnic and again for a few sunsets. We can't wait to return year after year. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven.

  Quiet retreat in the woods, with a big, open, mossy area for running and playing. Great deck with shade or sun for relaxing after a day on the calm, white-sand beach at Lambert's Cove. Kitchen has everything. Plenty of room for dining, either in or out. LR is comfy. Walk to beach is about 15 minutes (dogs allowed only prior to 10am). We loved going for an early morning run with the dog. Also great beach for walking any time of day. Tranquil, but close to town and grocery shopping. Highly recommended and a good value. PS. If you are without a car the MV bus runs frequently and the stop is just at the bottom of the road.

  Everything about our stay was exceptional. The house is beautiful, the decore interesting and enjoyable, beds are comfortable, kitchen ideal for cooking and entertaining, great deck, excellent and highly usable furniture, everything works. No complaints about the house whatsoever. Owners are friendly and helpful, flexible and inviting. And you cannot beat this location, within walking distance to Lambert's Cove Beach, one of the best there is on MV. We have been coming to Martha's Vineyard for many years, and have found our home away from home with this outstanding property.

  This cottage is not what meets the eye. Doors do not lock, one door doesn't close. Very strong smell of what seemed to be cat urine through out the kitchen. Mold on cutting board in kitchen. Rust on fridge and showers, in toilets and on baseboard heaters. Couch and armchair in living room are shredded from cat. Bathroom leaked during rain storm and a baby frog found its way in during the night, along with other bugs. That said, its location is quiet and it can be within walking distance from the beach. We chose to leave after spending one night. Cottage owner refunded our money no questions asked which we greatly appreciated and are very thankful for. Overall, it was simply overpriced for the overall condition.
