This is a stylish 4 bedroom home in the vibrant area of Islington, North London.
The living room has a lovely fireplace, and stylish furniture, including two sofas and a multi-coloured lamp. There are wooden floors throughout this space which has white shutters on the windows, an elegant central light and a large gold-framed mirror. There are many interesting pieces of artwork on the walls and a large TV.
The kitchen has all white modern fitted cupboards and a granite worktop. The breakfast bar has 3 stools and a large dark green cooker. Leading off the kitchen the dining area has a wooden table and seating for 6, and there is another sofa, a fireplace, a black leather sofa and shelves of books. This leads on to a lovely patio garden.
Upstairs the master bedroom has wooden floors, a double bed and an en suite with modern tiling and a stylish deep bath, basin and loo. Double doors open onto a small balcony. There is also a second double bedroom with a wooden frame bed and standard lamp. There is a further child’s double room (with bunk beds) and a single child’s room. Both of the child’s rooms have keyboards.
There is a family bathroom with a modern shower, bath, sink and loo, and also a study room with a large desk, a printer and lots of storage space. Another reception room leads off the dining room and can be used either as a games room, or the sofa can be turned out into a sofabed to create a fifth 'bedroom'.
Ideally situated to explore London for a great city break, Islington itself is a hip, sophisticated destination on the northern edge of Central London. The renowned Almeida Theatre and Kings Head Theatre Pub are in the neighbourhood as are all the main supermarkets, plus endless boutiques, cafes, restaurants, very fine food and antique shops. You’re about a 15 minute walk to Upper Street which is home to a couple of cinemas, many restaurants, cafes, and shops. The little village of Newington Green is right on your doorstep – just a couple of minute’s walk – with its rich history (Samuel Pepys and Mary Wollstonecraft being among its former residents) and popular coffee shops and restaurants – it is well worth a visit.
For transport, you’re just a 2 minute walk to the Dalston Kingsland Overground with direct links to Stratford (for the Olympic Village) you'll be there in 15 minutes! You can reach Oxford Circus within 20 minutes by train or bus as train connections will link you with the handy Victoria line (at Highbury & Islington). At the nearby bus-stop, you’ll find a number of buses to take you to Victoria, Kings Cross, Waterloo (via The Strand) and the City.
