This place was spectacular. The pictures do not do it enough justice for how nice this place really is. They have everything you need there with great views. We will definitely be staying at this place again, you can't beat it!

Tabitha was great and the cabin was much more than I had expected or hoped for. LOVED it!! The place itself was great. Everything you might need was there. Yes, there was some dust and spider webs. However, it is a lake house, not a high-dollar luxury condo in town - you expect "stuff" to be at a lake property. The beds and furniture were comfortable and clean and the house was solid and secure. It stormed all through the second day and night and the glass multi-level back of the cabin was perfect for sitting and watching the storm and rain. It was the right place to go to get away from everything. The little store north of the bridge had everything you might want at very reasonable prices and a super fresh-food deli to boot. The Red Barn was a good distraction for a rainy day and had super food and ice cream. The whole area was nice and quiet. I look forward to another stay. It was perfect for us!

Great family vacation venue
Great family vacation venue
My family completely enjoyed our experience at the 'Rustic Meets Modern' cabin. The cabin was more than we expected in many ways. The rooms were larger than they appeared in the photos. The location was just what we were looking for; a quiet get-away from the city. The property was well-maintained and the cabin itself had everything we needed. It was nice that the bedrooms were on different floors so people with different sleep schedules did not wake others. The property is conveniently located to many recreational activities. We found it easy to get around in the area. We loved our stay and plan to return in the future. One request for the future: we would love to be able to rent a fishing boat or canoe as well!

Our group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers stayed for 5 nights. We were greatly disappointed. The cabin was not clean, it was in need of a deep cleaning. Dust and spider webs throughout. We found a roach in the tub. We left it in a baggie on the table when we left. We also found adult magazines on the bedroom closet shelf. The small refrigerator was not working when we arrived and water was leaking all over the floor. We had problems with the propane grill which did eventually get resolved, but the caretaker made us feel as if it was a problem that we wanted a working grill. He complained about all the miles he was driving to try to find parts. The listing indicated we would have cell phone coverage and WIFI. There was no cell phone coverage at all, we use ATT, there was no WIFI, there was no television signal. This should have been made clear as even though we were on vacation, several of us needed to be able to check in with our jobs and we were unable. It was very disappointing.

Manager response: Thank you for your comments. Any suggestions on additional utensils or appliances by our guests are always welcome - we've added several based on requests made by guests. The cabin is ideal for couples and families seeking a getaway. Many let us know how much the love the deep claw foot tub - good for bathing the kids or a nightly soak. We do hope you return for a getaway! Thank you again. * The coffeemaker was found to have hard water build up and is back to 12 minute full pot brewing time by running a pot of vinegar through.

This was the second year that part of my family has been at Wildwood. This offers us extra housing for our annual Table Rock Lake reunion which brings members from all over the country. They like Wildwood so much that they vie for the privilege of staying there. See ya in 2024!

About: As a family with 3 young boys, we needed a place where they could safely run and play. We've owned the cabin just over 2 years. We live in Wichita, KS but were in Springfield, MO enough for my husband's job we were tired of renting something every time we came to Table Rock Lake. We love it here when we can escape and wanted to share it with others and hope they like it as much as we do. We just recently brought our Lab along with us for spring break. He loved being able to run free, but mostly enjoyed his walks and napping under the trees. He slept in his kennel on the patio. We know you will enjoy the cabin as much as we do - Relax and Unwind!
Why Shell Knob:
We grew up in Florida and miss the water. Decided this is someplace we hope to pass down to our boys and enjoy family gatherings here for many years to come.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
