  We love the house, privacy swimming pool and the dock to fishing. We would love to rent it again next year:)

  This is a dump. There was obviously a tub/shower leak above kitchen that was recently patched (ceiling in kitchen) and wonder if they took care of any mold/moisture before patching the drywall. I say this due to the reaction our family had our night stay here. Everyone was horribly congested and sick. The pool isn't prepared to use. Spent an hour or so getting bottom of it clean to allow the vents to flow and hoped in the morning the water was clear. We didn't use (not even our dog was allowed in) as we didn't trust it was clean and healthy. Whoever the maid service is needs to be fired. The master shower was nasty and hairy. The tub in the other bath wouldn't drain so taking a shower in it was not acceptable. As a vacation rental, one would think they'd clean the window sills, floors, deck furniture, and vacuum to get all of the dead bugs and such out. Not done here. Totally gross. Couldn't use the deck furniture due to thick cover of dirt and pollen/bugs. And, I understand the policy of turning water main on/off when home not in use but why would you place a queen size air mattress in front of the door to the utility room to gain access to it? Stupid. You're just asking for a lawsuit when someone falls and hurts themselves. Have someone fix the woodpecker nests in the siding. They woke us up at 5am Seriously, a upscale home with no dishwasher? You're joking right? Thanks for the heads up on that. Your screened in porch is not up to code as far as safety is concerned. Any kids that go out there will most likely fall through the screen and down 12' to the earth below. How about putting a railing up? This is a public use rental right? Think about it. Oh, last thing.... Danielle or whatever your name is at the front desk. Don't tell someone you're going to call them if you never intend to. Then, when I call you to let you know you failed to, don't tell me that the VP is going to call and then he fails to. It'd be easier if you'd just say, "we don't give a crap about you and we won't be calling you back about a refund for the days you didn't stay" And, "we don't care that you drove 3.5 hrs with a 14 month old baby, checked in at 4pm and left at 12pm next day because the place was a dump. That's not my problem" Trust me, that'd be the honest thing to say. Not, "oh my, we are sooo sorry! Let's see what we can do for you. I'll for sure call you tomorrow" Danielle, that is a lie. Don't lie to customers. Bad for business.

  Keys to the Lake found the perfect summer vacation spot for our family. The beautifully furnished and decorated home provides ample room for our large family. Every morning starts with a dip in our own private salt-chlorinated pool. With a specially designed children’s area for the little ones, water volleyball and basketball, an in-pool bar, and plenty of comfortable poolside seating, there is something for everyone. The easily accessible dock houses our boat and sea doo at the end of a quiet and peaceful cove. Whether on the spacious deck or the comfort of the covered porch, every night’s a perfect night for barbeque! Then it’s back to the pool for a relaxing evening of swimming and enjoying the lavish landscaping and colorful fauna. The poolside lighting allows for stargazing and listening to the calming sounds of summer. We couldn’t be more pleased with our home away from home at The Lake!

  We rented this house last week and were sorely disappointed since we pre-paid during peak season. We stayed one night and left the next morning. It's obvious that the management doesn't care about the disgusting conditions. There was a beaver or muskrat crawling from the pool to the porch leaving it's excrement on the pavement. Our entire family had the worst congestion including our dog which made it miserable to stay there. We all got bitten by fleas or bedbugs. The dishes were visibly dirty and there is no dishwasher. There were scattered debris (ie broken plastic toothpicks, crumpled up reciepts with dead bugs inside sitting on the mantle, plastic easter egg shells, beer caps, etc) everywhere throughout the carpet and it was obvious no one had bothered to vaccuum and I wanted to throw up when my toddler discovered the poop stain on the carpet of the master bedroom. the water next to the upstairs guest BR doesn't drain. The pool was murky at best and there was another beer left out next to the pool for us to enjoy I guess. The list goes on.... This place is so gross, that I feel compelled to call the health dept on them. Unfortunately we had reserved it for 3 nights and the management has not yet responded to our complaints. They obviously don't care but I am warning you...DO NOT STAY IN THIS DUMP!!!!

  Owner response: Dear Renter, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your stay, and we are also disappointed that you did not communicate any of these problems with us and did not give us an opportunity to ensure you had a pleasant vacation. An owner of the company, as well as an additional manager went to the home immediately after your departure to inspect the premises and was unable to find any of the seemingly specific aforementioned issues, with the exception of the condition of the pool, which we sincerely apologize for. The pool is cleaned weekly, and the next scheduled cleaning was immediately after your reservation date. We would, however, like to specifically address the claim that a “poop stain” was found in the master bedroom’s carpet: this is absolutely false and disgusting. Also, the home is on a monthly pest control schedule, and was sprayed less than a week before your reservation date. We certainly do care about all of our renters’ experiences, but without any direct communication of issues at hand, we are, understandably, unable to rectify any guest’s specific dissatisfaction. We hope that you find a property that you are happy with, and wish to remind you that when renting privately-owned homes and condominiums, communication with the management company when issues arise is the only way to ensure that those matters are addressed promptly.
