Open the door and enter the 70's! Turn on the 8-track and listen to Guy Lombardo! This condo will bring back your fondest memories of the1970's! Tastefully decorated in the hues you'll remember, this condo is fresh, clean and conveniently located; close to hiking trails, El Paseo, McCallum Theatre, College of the Desert, The Living Desert,Westfield Mall, the list goes on! Start with breakfast on the private back patio in the brilliant sunshine; move to the front patio with a glass of wine in the early afternoon, then enjoy a pre-dinner drink on the upstairs master bedrooom balcony with a view of the mountains and palm trees. Grab your towel, pool toys, and a drink as the newly renovated pool is steps away from the front door! The owner had fresh flowers, candles, a bottle of wine and a welcome note waiting! That's the way to start a vacation!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My sister and I had an absolutely great time staying at "Sun and Stars" The fifteen nights went by so quickly! We were searching for a place with this exact vibe and were not disappointed. The king beds in each room with luxurious linens were amazing! The condo was a fantastic size that we took full advantage of. Clean and well appointed with everything we needed! Breakfast on the back patio, cocktails on the front patio and of course wine on the balcony! Close to great shopping and wonderful restaurants and our favorite hiking trails! The views from the condo are truly what Palm Desert is all about...palm trees, mountains, the pool!! Can't forget to mention the stereo that we listened to Guy Lombardo on...how great is that!!! Thanks Becky, it was a pleasure to meet you and to have made some great memories as we stayed in your condo! It definitely was a home away from home!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Karen and Diane -- I wish every guest could have as much fun as you two did! I loved your calendar on the fridge of all the great events and restaurants and activities you enjoyed while here. You made every one of your days count :)

I was born in 1967 so I am definitely a child of the 70’s and I love it! My mother was an afro-wearing flower child and I grew up making frequent trips to hippie hot spot Berkeley, CA and watching variety shows and The Brady Bunch. The 70’s retro pad is awesome and reminds me of the good times growing up. The hues of harvest gold, topaz and butter yellow take me back to my childhood home. I’m glad they went with the yellow palette instead of avocado green. Yellow is a happy color. The shag carpet and wallpaper complete the look. What’s even better is that it’s super close to Tommy Bahama on El Paseo, one of our all-time favorite restaurants!Owner response: Thanks, Lezlie. Looking forward to your visit in July!

We love this pad! My husband and I came to this wonderful vacation spot in beautiful south Palm Desert and never wanted to leave. The home is authentic 70's retro, which completely enhanced our "Palm Springs" experience. Like a vintage time-warp with modern conveniences! Neatly updated and VERY clean. Comfy beds, nice linens, full-kitchen, new carpet, bright sunny rooms, patio, balcony, pool, and incredible palm tree and mountain views. Great, quiet, upscale neighborhood, just a short walk to all of the great restaurants and shopping on El Paseo. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a retro-girls vacation. We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: This couple enjoyed every minute of their all-too-brief vacation. I'm encouraging a return visit, Lois and Phil!

I just got back from a weekend in Palm Desert with friends and stayed at this charming (and roomy) condo nestled in the heart of the desert. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was nothing short of wonderful, with comfortable furniture, amazing views, and decor that felt like The Parker's hip young offspring. The neighborhood was quiet, the pool was the perfect temperature, and come the end of the weekend, I can safely say none of us wanted to leave. The bedrooms are spacious, each with their own bathroom and shower and the living area was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the pool and watch a movie. Each morning, we prepared breakfast and enjoyed it on the charming patio out back as the sun rose. From the funky wallpaper to the vintage furniture and cheery color palette, this condo feels like Palm Desert in the 1970's, and staying there was truly an escape. I would happily book this place again and again for a weekend getaway, solo or with a group. I've never stayed anywhere else quite like it.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Owner response: It was a pleasure to host this girls' getaway. I can only imagine they left the pool long enough to pour themselves a cool drink. I am happy to report that they were delighted by the peace and quiet of the location ... a MUST for a relaxing desert visit. Come back for another summer stay, Ladies!
