This home is rented in one-week blocks, Saturday to Saturday from May 25 through September. Situated on a beautiful, 2-acre lot, on a quiet road, our house is just a 5-minute drive from downtown Penticton. It has a rural feel to it, up on the Naramata bench, surrounded by trees, vineyards and orchards, with lake and mountain views. Across the road is Munson Mountain Regional Park, where a 10-minute hike to the lookout at the top of the hill will reward you with views of the entire Okanagan Valley.
If you’ve arrived with friends and family, you’ll feel right at home in our 2400-square foot renovated mid-century rancher. It’s perfect for entertaining, outdoor dining and family fun with everything you need for your Summer vacation. Besides the kitchen, living and dining room, the main floor has three bedrooms, all with Queen-sized beds, and a full bath. Downstairs, a fourth bedroom has a twin bed and the fifth bedroom has twin bunks and a twin single bed. The new downstairs bathroom has a tiled glass shower for hosing off after a day at the beach. Floors throughout are tiled and wood, no carpeting.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a fabulous meal with the local produce and artisan baking from the Penticton Farmers Market. With a barbeque and outdoor furniture on the deck, you’ll want to dine outside and watch the sun set over the hills. Other amenities in the house include high speed Internet, TV/DVDs (no cable) upstairs and down, board games, outdoor games (bocce ball, badminton, croquet), a games room with a ping pong table, washer/dryer, an iron and complete sets of bed, bath and kitchen linens and beach towels. The house will easily accommodate 2 families or 3 couples.
At the end of the block, you have easy access to the scenic Kettle Valley Trail for walking or cycling. Across the road is the newly-built Poplar Grove winery. Other boutique wineries, including La Frenz, Township 7, Red Rooster, Hillside, Laughing Stock, Black Widow, Lake Breeze, Elephant Island and Van Westen, are all within a 10-minute drive. In town, you’ll find shops, cafés, restaurants, a casino, lakes, beaches and open air concerts and markets, all within a short drive. Golfers can choose from six courses nearby. Local orchards are bursting with fresh fruits all Summer long.
