Aloha E Komo Mai! Hello and Welcome to the Waikiki Shore, the only beachfront condominium on Waikiki Beach. Recently remodeled Studio 1404 is the highest and closest to the beach of all the building studio units. Enjoy amazing Diamond Head and Ocean views from inside the apartment and out on the balcony, as well as incredible beach, city and mountain views.

See our listing for 1315 if 1404 is booked. 1315 was just remodeled and it is spectacular!

Waikiki Beach is one of the greatest beaches in the world, and though not widely known, it is made up of many smaller, named beaches. One of them, Duke Kahanamoku Beach, which is seen in its entirety from the balcony, has been named as the #2 beach (again!) in America for 2013, according to Dr. Stephen Leatherman's (aka 'Dr. Beach') annual list. Duke Kahanamoku Beach, which fronts the Hilton Hawaiian Village and reaches out to the Waikiki Shore, made this year's list for the fourth consecutive year.

Descend the Waikiki Shore stairs to the beach and in thirty paces, you have reached the Pacific Ocean. Store your surfboard on site and paddle directly out to 'Threes' surf break, made famous in the movie 'Endless Summer.' Swim, snorkel, relax. Fort DeRussy Park and the military hotel, Hale Koa, are right next door. First class shopping, dining, and sightseeing are around the corner.

Your 14th floor lanai serves as private box seats to the Pacific Ocean, breathtaking sunsets, and Friday Night Fireworks.

We had previously stayed at the Waikiki Shore and when planning this trip it was the first place we considered. The condo was clean and well equipped, we liked the nautical theme and we really appreciated the beach chairs and towels provided for our use. The views are fantastic and of course unobstructed being right on the beach. Lots of great restaurants close by: P.F. Chang's, Cheese Cake Factory, Cheese Burger (Beach Walk), Shore Birds etc. etc. If the condo is available when we plan our next visit to Hawaii, we would definetly try to stay here again. Did not matter what time day or night the view from this condo was spectacular. The condo was compact but very nice. It was well equipped and clean. The bed was comfortable. Having the Outrigger Hotel next door was a great advantage. Good music and food. We would stay here again.

We have stayed at the Waikiki Shore a dozen + times in studios, 1 bedrooms & once in a penthouse. This is one of the nicer units. Anything above the 6th floor gives relative quiet from street & beach noise & any unit number 10 or less has a good view of beach, ocean & park. A dozen restaurants & bars are a 2 to 10 minute walk. Nice sunset views too & if you are there on any Friday, you have an unobstructed view of the Hilton fireworks show. And of course you are on the beach. Best place to snorkle is Hanauma Bay, about a half hour by car. Do go early-arrive by 8.30- & plan to leave by 11 when it gets crowded & the fish hide. If available when we plan our next visit to Hawaii, we would probably stay here again.

We can't say enough good things about our stay in the 'Ikena Nui unit for part of our Hawaiian vacation. Starting with the airport pick-up by Steve, who patiently waited while we dealt with a missing luggage situation, through to his availabilty to answer questions, we could not have asked for a better host. And the lei was a beautiful welcoming touch. The unit (ie. stateroom!) was lovely and just as described. Bed was comfy with quality bedding, kitchen well-equipped. We love this location right on the beach and really appreciated the comfy beach chairs and large beach towels provided for our use. The neighbourhood is wonderful...things we enjoy include sunset drinks at the Halekulani - House Without a Key; dinner right next door at the Kani Ka Pila Grille with awesome Hawaiian musicians playing every evening; touring the Iolani Palace; shopping at Don Quixote's - very local grocery store not far from Ala Moana...try the apple bananas as they are amazing!...also available at Henry's Place on Beachwalk Ave. The Honolulu Zoo is worthwhile and a nice place to walk. Rent a car for a day and drive around the island, heading east so the ocean is always on your right - makes for easy parking when you want to pull off the highway. Good stops include the mac nut outlet near the Kualoa Ranch, Giovanni's shrimp truck in Kahuku for lunch, shave ice in Haleiwa and the Dole Plantation on your way back down the island. The 'Ikena Nui gets a top-rating from us as the place to stay for your Waikiki get-away. But please don't book until we get our plans made for next winter!

Prior to booking this rental I took several weeks and reviewed hundreds of offerings. Having spent eight wonderful days there I can say this is great place to stay! It is on the 14th floor and has absolutely wonderful views of Waikiki beach off the lanai! Views of Diamond Head out the front door. It's like looking at a big postcard! Centrally located, you can walk to stores and restaurants all within 2-3 blocks. Perfect view for the Friday night fireworks display! The studio is well appointed and thoughtfully stored by the owner, We often had breakfast on the lanai while planning our days activities. Easy access to the beach, you're on it! Having compared, you couldn't get this type of quality location in a hotel for three times the price! Go on, rent this place!

Owners were fantastic and easy to work with. Very nice with great views. You don't need a car if you just want to walk out and be on the beach or parking is available.. Surfing, water bikes and paddle boards right at the beach steps when you go downstairs. Get a car for the day if you want to explore along the coast. For bragging rights you can even say your building was in front of the Trump Tower and right on the sandy beach! Lots of eating choices from very reasonable to pricy in the near surrounding area. Also, for someone that might need occasional assistance a wheelchair would work there also. Yes, we would do it again!!! Mahalo, Steve & Chris

My husband and I spent his 60th birthday at this condo. We were pleasantly welcomed with the surrounding of a ships stateroom. The decor is cosy and warm, with all you need to make your Hawaiian vacation perfect. The galley(kitchen) has every thing you need to make meals or the restaurants in the area are amazing. It is a return trip for us to the building- you can't find a better location. The owner is very easy to reach by either phone or email. Steve met us at the airport and gave us the fob and a beautiful lei for myself. We are definitely going back!

EXCEPTIONAL 5 STAR PLUS.. this is the word that describes this little piece of heaven on earth. LOGISTICS: It started from the smoothness of the contract arrangements, the communications back and forth ending in the personal delivery of the key to us. As soon as we got to the condo, we felt really really happy that we reserved this over the others. THE VIEWS: The pictures are awesome, but do not do justice to the feeling of freedom. The initial walk up the side of the building where you can see Diamond head and the beaches to infinity was magnificent. When we stepped inside and looked out the other side, we felt relaxed right away. We kep the door ajar most of the day when we were relaxing, and the breeze coming from Diamond Head was something only Hawaii can offer. The Lanai (balcony) was the perfect place for morning coffee and breakfast, and the Friday Night Fireworks (7:30pm) over the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Dont miss that if possible. We often just relaxed on the Lanai and 'people watched' down below. THE ACCOMODATIONS: We didnt need to bring anything at all for the condo. Great bed, big TV, fully equipped kitchen and full size fridge (we never went out for breakfast), large bathroom and even laundry was available. My wife said they thought of everything a woman would want in a vacation rental. RECOMMENDATIONS: We stopped off at the Walmart on the way from the airport, and got staples like milk, eggs, bread water and such. Everything else you need is right downstairs. Fast food, good restaurants, beach rental equipment, vendors, catamaran rides. Although we rented a car because we wanted to tour the island, we could have just spent all 5 days right there at the beach doing activitites of some sort. ENDING: This was our second time to Hawaii in 4 months (we were on a LEGALSHIELD executive directors company paid trip to Maui in June), and our company takes us to an exotic beach resort every summer. However, in terms of magnificent views, relaxation factor, and convenience of having everything close, this was one of our best vacations. We will be back. Thank you Steve.

                  Year Purchased: 2012

About the owner: We came to Oahu for a visit in 1988 and couldn't imagine raising a family anywhere else. When you live in Paradise 365 days a year, where do you go to get away? Waikiki.

Why the Owner Chose Waikiki Shore:
Waikiki Shore is a special building, unique in its location, size, and amenities; it's a perfect balance of solitude, beach and activity.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We can go from an ocean paddle to a Michelin starred restaurant in minutes. Soft jazz in a first-class lounge and a wild-and-crazy sports bar are both around the corner. Friday night fireworks cap off pau hana and mark the start of the weekend for locals and tourists alike. Waikiki is a multi-cultural mix of people, food, and opportunities.
