Being directly on top of the water and having a private yard and beach would normally be enough for a high rating, but Ben and his family welcomed our party of 8 with open arms and made the stay quite memorable. The house is in wonderful shape with brilliant views, spacious living, and modern amenities. We slept 8 guests very comfortably and I would recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in this charmingly quiet neighborhood.

Comfortable and Beautiful RI Beach House
Comfortable and Beautiful RI Beach House
We just spent the week at this beautiful home in Bristol, RI. The home was large, clean, and well appointed. The owner, Ben, met us at the property upon check-in to show us around and was easy to get a hold of during the week to answer any questions, etc. The kitchen had plenty of room for all of our supplies and our large group during the week. We easily cooked large dinners in the space each night. The two living rooms had nice furniture and provided plenty of space for the adults and children. Each of the bedrooms were comfortable, and the linens were very nice. There are large closets in each room, but no bureaus/drawer space. Each bathroom was well appointed and had great water pressure. The indoor layout of this home was really nice, open and good for a large group. The central air in the home worked really well, which we appreciated greatly during a week of 95+ degree temps! The outdoor space is accurately reflected in the photos on the site. The beach is rocky, as described. Water shoes are definitely needed. The water was warm and calm, good for swimming and kayaking. The association beach three houses down was a bit more sandy and provided great swimming as well. The deck has a great view of the bay (despite the power plant, although some of our guests found it quite interesting!), and we spent as much time out there as possible. There is a grill on the patio area, below the deck, which is charcoal, not gas. The lawn is large and flat, and we saw bunnies, a groundhog, and many birds throughout the week. The outdoor space at the home is quiet and very relaxing. The location of the home is good. Very close to Colt State Park which has great grounds for walking and running as well as a local beach, and the downtown area with cute shops and restaurants. Also close by is the Blithewold Mansion and Gardens which we would highly recommend as well as the Audubon Society. The home is close to Newport, which makes for a great daytrip or two. Providence is also close, we visited the Providence Children's Museum and the Roger Williams Park Zoo, both highly recommended. Overall we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a rental for a large family/group.

A great house, clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. There was more than enough room for 8 of us to share over the long weekend. Sitting on the deck was enjoyed mornings and afternoons (weather permitting) with a spectacular view as the bonus. The woodstove warded off the unseasonably cool weather and offered us a central place to sit and relax. Ben was great to work with and very helpful when needed. The home's location is a quick drive to downtown Bristol or an easy drive to Newport and close to stores for supplies. You will enjoy your stay here!

My nine girlfriends and I enjoyed ourselves at this location. We all fit pretty comfortabley, although from the photos we thought the house was slightly larger. Ben was very nice and accomodating. I would recommend this rental to others.

AAA house by the bay
AAA house by the bay
We spent Christmas most enjoyably in this house. We agree with the superlatives from other reviewers. The large house, with two living areas, is big enough to spread out in. The two fireplaces add a cheerful glow and warmth in wintertime. The house is right on the water with large floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the view of the water. Furnishings are first rate -- not the dowdy beat-up kind one sometimes get in a rental. The house is close to needed shopping (grocery, drug store, etc.) and is convenient to the charming Bristol downtown with quaint streets, restaurants and the pleasant Aidan's Irish pub (with its huge portions of cheap but decent food). Finally, the owner and his son were extremely helpful, cheerful and courteous. All in all, highly recommended.

I had a number of friends and family come into Bristol for a wedding. We rented 3 different houses for guests and this one was by far the best. Incredible views and amenities. Plan on sending guests here in the future. Thanks Ben!

Hi Ben, Sorry but I don't use facebook and couldn't submit the review, but I would like to say the following about our stay in regards to a review: I would first like to state that the owner Ben Luk was very pleasant and curtious. My family and I had a great relaxing stay in this spacious Bristol home with wonderful Mt. Hope Bay oceanviews. The private beach was truly a treasure as it provided a peaceful uninterupted place for my family to play, relax and soax in the sun. It was truly a place to spend quality time together without the distractions of a crowded beach. I would also highly recommend taking a trip down to the bristol harbor area for fine dining/shopping/coffee shops and a relaxing stroll along the harbor. Sincerely and Thanks, The DeVellis Family
