  Our son lives on St. Croix and knows Patti and Mike; he said just stay at their place. We did, and that was some good advice. The pictures, description and other reviews are completely correct and our experience was the same. It is a newly remodeled place, well-maintained and very clean. Mike and Patti met us on arrival with some cold drinks and helped get us oriented...they are very friendly, very helpful and great hosts. Although the condo was a great place, we really did not spend much time there - we spent most of the time driving to different places around the island. Keep in mind though that you'll want to rent a car no matter where you stay because things are so spread out. Cane Bay is the nicest beach on the island. Not only is it the best beach, it has some casual beach bars and restaurants, scuba diving and snorkeling. The botanical garden was a great non-beach place to go. It is especially interesting because it is built into the ruins of an old sugar cane plantation. Christiansted is pretty nice along the boardwalk and Fort area, you can definately spend some time there and several evenings as well. The boardwalk is definately the place to go in the evenings. We didn't see much of interest in Fredriksted and spent very little time there. The best snorkling is at Buck Island and the kayak tour at Altona Lagoon was a surprisingly great deal. If you are going to do any kayak tours, definately choose that one. The parasailing trip was a highlight too... very exciting. Getting back to the condo, here's some insights if you are shopping around for where to stay. Club St. Croix is one of four townhouses all in a row and definately has the nicest beach area and layout (we checked 'em out). The swimming is not real good at any of them because of the short turtle grass, but conversely, it makes the snorkeling better. The Breezes restaurant/bar is a good place. The really expensive luxury resorts like Carambola probably have nicer grounds, but if you are going to be doing things all over the island, they may not be worth the extra money. All in all, Mike and Patti's place is a great base of operations for your island vacation. We would stay there again and recommend it to others without hesitation.

  This penthouse apartment seems big because there is the living area, kitchen, bathroom and balcony on one floor and the master bedroom and second bathroom upstairs, which actually is a "hems". There are lots of cupboards in the bedroom, we slept very well on the rather steady mattres, there are plenty of towels in the two bathrooms, a well supplied open-kitchen and a lovely balcony. The hosts live on the island, and are easily contacted before and during the stay. They warmly greeted us and had even done some pre-arrival shoppings. When you're open, they will retalliate twice. The property where the apartment is situated is well kept and maintained by a very friendly staff, who like to get to know you and help you with what ever problem you may think you have. There is a pool and a restaurant on the site which we did not use, but the pool was serviced every morning, the area was well eqiupped with chairs and clean and the restaurant pretty popular as we could notice. From the balcony you have a beautiful view! The beach is cleaned for sea weed every morning. Due to the sea weed in the water we only took a single swim here. But there are beach chairs and shades avalilable for sunbathing. A powerplant in the nabourhood produces some noise, but we did not find it anoying. Christiansted is a little town with many historic buildings, which particularly for us Danes were interesting to visit. It's only a five minutes drive to town, where parking is free! We got easy access to the Governor's builing which is lovely restored, the waterfront area is very nice, full of restaurants and bars, music, a good atmosphere of relaxing, destressing tourists and friendly locals. The fort is well maintained and offers a beautiful sight on Protestant Cay with excellent beach, Buck Island etc. We had rented a car at the airport and can recommend to do so, otherwise you're easily stuck in Christiansted. Now we had the possibility to go shopping at the nearby supermarket, visit the Lawaetz museum,Estate Whim, Point Udall, from where we took the trail down to lovely Isac Bay, we drove the scenic coast route to Cane Bay and disappointing, desolated Frederikssted. Nearby is Sandy Point, a must for swimmers, only open weekends. Our hosts recommended to join the Jump Up evening in Christianssted, a "carnival like" cultural party held in the streets and along the boardwalk. You'll see steel drum bands, other musicians and Mocko Jumbies, to ward off evil. So go for StCX and this condo!

  This was a wonderful property! We really enjoyed our stay. Club St. Croix is very nice, right on the beach and the unit was well maintained, very clearn, comfortable with a wonderful skylight in the loft bedroom. It was so nice to have a huge bathroom attached to the loft bedroom. The pool, restaurant and other facilities were terrific. This place felt like home (only warm!) and we would recommend it highly to anyone! The photographs of the property were excellent and the description on VRBO was accurate in every regard. Thanks so much to the owners for the hospitality which included the owner's purchasing of food items and having fresh flowers for us for our late arrival! Very nice! Thanks!

  Walk in the door and see nothing but blue caribbean sea beyond the balcony....a great vacation has begun...Owners are attentive and thoughtful--they greet you upon arrival with your favorite 'libations', and leave you alone to enjoy the air conditioned beachfront condo on your own...Just understand there is a narrow spiral staircase from living room to loft bedroom, so forget bringing your heavy suit case up there butyou're on St Croix, so why bring a heavy suitcase anyway?...modern baths (2), gorgeous kitchen recently updated, and a wide range of cable TV when the sun sets....five minute drive into Christansted, and a view to Buck Island that changes minute by minute...A great choice..

  What a great week in St. Croix. Patty and Mike were the BEST hosts! They filled us in on area activities, took us diving and even into the rain forest to see the "beer drinking pigs!!" (Ya gotta see them to believe it!) They are also an excellent resource for restaurants the locals love. Get to Maria's for the $2 tacos on Wednesday nights. A fantastic experience of local color and flavor! For a fine "sit down" meal, stroll the boardwalk and STOP at Angry Nate's. Come hungry and leave STUFFED! Check out when Mike is playing at one of the local pubs - it was a BLAST!! The beach is great for walks and exploring. The pool is kept immaculately clean - even has some rafts to float around in! The listing description and pictures are accurate. The beach was raked every morning. Great stay overall. We love Patty and Mike - our new tropical friends!!!
