Delightful cottageGuest comment entered by owner
"Delightful cottage" We enjoyed a night here in October and found a comfortable, clean cottage set right in the fern tree rainforest. Much appreciated were the beach towels for the hot tub, small heaters in the rooms and lots of linens. The living room was adequate but could use more seating for 4-6 people; kichen well supplied and super clean. On the downside, bathroom small and awkward and the outside lighting on a timer that didn't come on until 10 pm instead of at sunset.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and we wished we would have stayed the whole week here. Very relaxing and somewhat secluded. We had some difficulty locating the house and feared we would not find it if it got dark! that was the only thing that I can think of that was a problem for us. We enjoyed the spa overlooking lush tropical foliage daily. We also used the wood burning stove in the cooler evenings.

"A beautiful and private home. A fun drive in!!"
Hale Nahele is a lively home, and we loved our stay. It's an interesting drive thru the foliage on a dirt road, but well worth the effort. Very private, lovely yard, and a hot tub. The coding on the entrance lock changed, and we were e-mailed. We don't bring the ability to recieve internet on trips. We phoned the office, so no problem.

We stayed for three nights. The stained glass, the fireplace, the orchids and anthuriums in the yard all helped create a wonderful ambience. The unit was totally private and the hot tub on the deck was just perfect, especially on the cool nights. The volcano is spectacular and this was a perfect location for seeing the area. The restaurants in Volcano village are also excellent. All in all a great stay and we will be back soon!
