We have just had a wonderful few days at this 2 bedroom cabin. The renovation has been well done, the heating was great, the bedrooms and bathroom were all as described. We had two small boys and they enjoyed both the inside and the outside (good sized yard) of the cabin. The cabin is a in a great location. We recommend this cabin and would happily stay again. Thanks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our stay was perfect - Julie is an excellent hostess! This cabin is truly within walking distance of Main St. in Waynesville, which truly has wonderful cafes, restaurants and even a wine "Seller" that served up a lovely meal with a live jazz combo on a Friday night. Despite being so close, being in the cabin still felt quiet and remote, so that we could truly relax and read by the fireplace. I would recommend to anyone, especially city folk who are looking to get away but might not yet be ready for the wilderness.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I stayed at this cottage from 10/19 through 10/27. The cabin was just as you see in the pictures. Very close to downtown Waynesville. Really enjoyed looking out at the Mountain view each morning. We brought our motorcycles and this location was central to some good rides, i.e. The Rattler and The Dragon's Tail. The cottage was well suited for bringing in bikes on a trailer which is what we did. There are new appliances and the internet connection was good. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. We were so sad to leave this beautiful bungalow.. It is in a great situation in a quiet area of the lovely town of Waynesville, 15 minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway, 35 minutes from Asheville. Good air conditioning and cosy gas /pebble fire make you feel right at home. I loved the artistic furnishing and decor, interesting antiques and a rug weaving with intructions which can be worked on by the guests. I enjoyed doing a few inches while looking out at the mountain views. Very reasonable price and helpful owner. I would love to come back and stay here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: This is a remodel 1937 Bungalow. I am a local realtor and always wanted to remodeled a older home. The property hunt was just the beginning....
Why the Owner Chose Waynesville:
I purchased this vacation rental for clients to enjoy the mountain activities and VIEWS yet still be walking distance to the historical Waynesville downtown area. Many people come to 'Maggie Valley' or to watch the leaf turn color but they always to gravitate towards Waynesville where all the fun is, great restaurants, charm of our small historical downtown and of course, Mast General. This time stay in the mist of the activities and moutains!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Enjoy the swing and Gazebo stright over the downtown area and views. If it is winter - do not fret, the sunroom provides the same views and warmth. Year round there is a fireplace and dining room for gatherings. Just say Charm and you have described this bungalow. Come have fun!
