First off the pictures do not do this place justice. It was amazing when I pulled in and walked around, its not huge but you could sleep 10 people in there easy. The views are amazing. If you look outside you have the lake, Valcour and you can see the mountains in VT on a clear day. My stay was in the cool temperature side of summer, but the kids still had fun in the sand and on the nice hotter days a little in the water. If it is raining outside you can stoke a fire and relax inside. My son loved throwing flying gi joes off the upstairs bedroom out to the living room. The appliances are all new and it has a very good stand up washer/dryer, does a quick wash job. Tom was very helpful and stopped by just to mow the lawn when it needed it. You are right around the corner from the golf course and a few minutes from downtown if you want dinner, the pepper and Iris's are great. Enjoy your stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Spent a week in August at this charming, wonderfully renovated cabin. Has all of the old world charm of a lake front camp, but complete with modern amenities including WIFI. See the pictures on the website - it is even prettier in person. The lake was very low (several feet below normal) so we had to moore our boat out off the beach - shallow beach waterfront makes for easy launch of kyaks, row boat, and other water toys. Very nice sandy beach on which to spend time gazing at the lake or reading a book. Convenient to Plattsurgh and other off lake attractions.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This place was absolutely wonderful! The cottage has been restored and updated with great care and beautiful detail. The french doors in the master bedroom that open onto the screened in porch made for the most lovely sleeping weather! Everything about this place - from the awesome lake (which offers a VERY gradual depth change - great for kids - kayaks and paddleboard were so much fun!) and comfortable, homey, clean interior to the convenience of laundry were perfect. Additionally, Plattsburgh is centrally located for visiting great locations - Lake Placid, Burlington, Montreal, Ausable Chasm. We had a terrific experience & give this home a rating of tremendous!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time at this lakeside cabin. The lake was beautiful; the cabin was very nice. The owner let us use his stand up paddle board and kayaks, which was very nice. The water was still on the cool side, so we would like to come back again during the summer. Even though the water was cool, it was very clear. Ausable Chasm was only 15 minutes away. Whiteface Mountain was only about an hour away.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
