Heathland is a custom built home with spacious open living, dining and kitchen areas with large stone fireplace, massive wooden beams above and locust columns that separate living and dining space with table that seats 10 comfortably. LIving room opens to open deck. Floors are heart pine and large rectangular travertine which can be heated in winter. Spacious kitchen opens up to inside living area plus to a well furnished large screen porch with stone fireplace, gas grill, with comfortable seating and dining.
Main floor includes living room, dining room, kitchen, master kingsize bedroom that opens to outside screen porch. Master bath includes 2 lavatories,walk in shower, jacuzzi tub and bidet. There is a half bath for guests on main. Mud room/ laundry room.
Beautiful open stairway leads to 2nd floor that includes 2 bedrooms with full baths and 2 lavatories in each and a 4th room that we normally use as an office with a sleep sofa and full bath. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have 2 gueen beds in each. One has an open deck for morning coffee.
The upstairs loft, furnished with seating for watching football, opens to the living room downstairs.
House is surrounded by a beautiful periennal garden with rhododendron, hydrangea a pond with continuous flowing water and an oyster pit. Many hiking trails nearby and a private pond for fishing. Best for adults only.

About the owner: I have been coming to Highlands since i was a child going to Camp Merrie Woode. My family has enjoyed the mountain area for years to escape the heat of mid Georgia. My husband and I enjoy hiking, fishing, theater, music, pottery and creative arts, shopping and dining out in all the wonderful restaurants. We love the cool air of the mountains. Having friends over for coffee or cocktails on our screen porch is our favorite.
