The Great Room is expansive and light filled featuring panoramic ocean views of Monterey Bay, an Italian fireplace, and comfortable furniture. RELAX and DE-STRESS to the sound of waves and smell of ocean breezes from the comfort of your living room, SUNBATHE on the deck, or grab your surf board and hop across the street to SURF the famous waves of "The Hook" at Pleasure Point. After a day at the beach, walk a few steps home, take a warm rinse in the outdoor shower and a long soak in YOUR PRIVATE JACUZZI surrounded by bougainvillea.
Prepare dinner in your gourmet kitchen while watching the waves and the surfers. Step outside to the garden for some fresh organic lettuce for your evening salad and fire up the grill on the deck next to the kitchen. If your not in the mood to cook, stroll around the block for a choice of sushi, chinese, mexican, or a slice of that famous Pleasure Point Pizza.
Or work up a real appetite with a walk to quaint Capitola by the Sea (10 min.) for an array of appetizing restaurants. (you can walk there on the beach at low tide) Speaking of low tide, we have incredible minus tides which afford hours of exploring in tide pools, searching for star fish and sea anenomes. The kids love this!
End your day relaxing on the deck, listening to the pounding surf while watching the sunset followed by the moon rise. Awake the following morning to an incredible sunrise and a cup of steaming coffee or tea and get ready for another exquisite day in paradise.
Beautiful sunrises and moonrises over the ocean can be had from the comfort of YOUR LUXURIOUS CALIFORNIA KING BED in the master suite. The master bath features double sink, double shower, and large soaking tub. Other 3 guest rooms feature queen size beds.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz
We wanted to enjoy an easy, relaxed lifestyle so we built a sunny and spacious beach house. We love to play on the beach year round, whether it is sunbathing and boogie boarding or bundled up for long walks and tide pool exploring. The neighborhood is friendly and we can walk or bike to many restaurants and the grocery store. We feel like everyday is a vacation!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Pleasure Point is an International Surf destination. While you are here, you can surf right out your front door, then enjoy a warm outdoor shower and a hot tub. In July the famous wharf to wharf race goes right by the house. You can stay above the crowd and enjoy the band and street party from the deck or pop outside into the party. On the fourth of July you can view the fireworks from the deck. But usually it's pretty quite around here, easy to unwind and just be grateful for a beautiful life.

This was one of the best family vacations we have ever had and it had much to do with the house and the location!!! I went with my 3 children and their friends! The house is gorgeous! The pictures on the site don't do it justice!! My kids are older so the space and the rooms worked out perfectly. We loved that there was only 1 TV because we were all together in the sitting room listening to the fabulous music (great CD collection) and just chillin!! The view is AMAZING and all of us were often on the deck just gazing out at the ocean! Plus the little beach just across the street rocked!!! The kids laid out and body surfed to their hearts content and just walked home! We even walked to Capitola for lunch - only took us about 15 minutes! My daughter and I love to cook and the kitchen was well equipped. The grill is a bit rusty but we still used it every night for dinner. If you are blessed enough to be able to stay a week in the beautiful home have fun and enjoy it like we did!!! I already want to go back!!!

WOW, did your home make our weekend special! The girl scout bridging ceremony was wonderful down on your beach. They came as cadettes and are leaving as seniors. This will be remembered often in the years to come as one of the best activities ever. Thank you for having us.

We enjoyed your 5-STAR home as we celebrated a memorable graduation at UCSC. It was a perfect setting for our family and friends to come together from Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Arroyo Grande and Redondo Beach. The weather was stellar. The view was to die for. You provided everything that anyone could ever need. Thanks for sharing with us.

We have had an absolutely superb time here, the location is just out of this world. It is so relaxing either sitting on the balcony watching the surfers or taking a walk along the beach. We will undoubtedly come back at some point and hopefully can stay hear again. Matt, if you are ever in Scotland looking to play golf, please contact me.

What a great house for a family get together. We really enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the kitchen and great room with the ocean views. Plenty of room for 10 people to move around. Thanks for having all the supplies we could ever need: spices, utensils, towels, detergent, etc. You really have a knack for making guest feel at home. See you again some time.

We enjoyed a great week at your house. We used it as a base for trips to Oakland A's game, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and Hearst Castle. We watched Fireworks from the balcony on the 4th of July. You have a great spot for people watching. Advice to future guests, if you choose to solve the berry jigsaw puzzle, be sure to start early in your stay so you're not up late finishing it like we were!
