  This flat was even better and even more than we expected! Very comfortable and clean space that is beautifully decorated with sweet touches such as fresh flowers in the dining area, a fully operational kitchen, washer/dryer and even fresh herbs growing on the balcony to season our meals. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout shutters and the amazing air conditioning helped us to have wonderful sleeps. The location is superb - moments away from the Coliseum and in the heart of a great town full of wonderful restaurants, cafes, markets and more. We didn't want to leave!

  I recently stayed. Not only is the area super cool and hip, so if the pad. Great space, airy clean and bright and central to everything. The owners are super helpful and the entire experience was charming. Highly recommend this as the place to stay in Rome. Sio.

  We have just returned from an 11-day stay in this wonderful apartment, and must agree with the previous reviews on the site. After years of visiting Rome and staying in high-priced hotels, we wanted to try apartment life and a hopefully deeper Roman experience. We couldn't have picked a better place, or a better neighborhood than Monti! It was hard to believe we had never been to this area before---centrally located yet with such a tranquil and almost small-town vibe. The apartment is perfectly maintained, artfully designed, with every modern convenience---including VERY effective air-conditioning (welcome as virtually every day was over 90 degrees F!) We got into a great morning routine, trying every one of the local coffee bars recommended by Elizabeth in her Monti Home booklet before settling on Er Barreto, around the corner, where we soon became recognized as regulars. (I'd also advise downloading her EAT ROME app for spot-on recommendations for great eating throughout Rome--we didn't have one bad meal!) As mentioned, the wifi was an added bonus...we were even able to download two entire seasons of HBO's ROME series onto our iPad and hook it up to the TV with no problem. So we enjoyed modern Rome during the day...and explored ancient Rome each night after dinner. Full immersion! Highly recommended. We will be returning!

  We love Rome. On our most recent trip we had the good fortune to find this apartment in the captivating Monti neighborhood. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the owners who unlocked the door to this light filled apartment. After introductions and showing us around the apartment they left us so we could settle in to this to begin our 5 day visit to Rome. The owners, one an architect, the other a food writer and author of interior design books, made good use of their talents in designing an elegant and comfortable place. They made thoughtful choices in selecting furnishings, colors and amenities making the apartment feel refined and serene. The kitchen is a compact well lighted organized space with good tools, sharp knives, a selection of cookbooks....everything one needs to prepare and serve meals. The appliances are all new. The glass doors open to a balcony allowing light and air to fill the kitchen. The bedroom and living room have large windows and speak of real comfort. The bathroom is dazzling, all the towels and linens here are luxurious.The shower works great! Another nice detail is the large lighted closet to hang clothes. We were happy to have access to WiFi. The owner and author, Elizabeth provided an insightful guide she wrote on the Monti with suggestions for restaurants, bars,markets, shops, etc. This was a huge plus, since we come to Rome largely for art, architecture and food. Her recommendations lead us to some of the best meals we ever had in Rome, most were in Monti within a short walk from the apartment. There is just so much good food here! This apartment has a splendid location , just down a quiet cobblestone street off the Piazza della Madonna dei Monti. The street is quiet but the piazza is often buzzing with local activity. The Monti is a neighborhood that invites one to explore it's tucked away narrow streets just behind the Roman Forum.We find Rome is a walkable city, so we walk as much as we can. We found we could walk anywhere from here, although public transportation is available nearby. Elizabeth arranged for transportation for us to the airport which was enormously helpful. This was possibly our best stay in Rome, much of that we can attribute to our stay here.....it felt like home. We hope to return, next time for a longer stay.

  We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this Monti apartment which is beautifully furnished with all new appliances, Elizabeth, the owner, created a helpful handbook with restaurants and specialty store recommendations. She was extremely helpful with directions, recommendations and arrangement of transportation to and from the airport. She met us at the spartment and made sure that we were comfortable. The Monti neighborhood is within walking distance to many popular sites and perfect for window shopping and easy access to Metro and public transportation. We were able to get around comfortably without a car. The pullout sofa bed in living room easily transforms into a private second bedroom. Wi-Fi definitely a plus! Overall an excellent home awY from home in Rome.
