This little gem of a cottage is a perfect spot for a couple to steal away for a private weekend. The entry level is complete, with queen bed and bath, living, dining, and kitchen, and a full bank of view windows. A gas log fireplace to sit by and enjoy the amazing views. A double futon couch could sleep another guest. The downstairs studio has it's own private entrance, with Cal King bed, bath, and kitchenette for another couple to join you. The bedroom enjoys the same breathtaking view, as above. A sliding glass door leads to a deck there. Watch the deer pad their way through the feeding meadow below, and the white water crashing on rocks off the coast. This is truly one of the best views on the central coast. You'll get a feel of life in Cambria, in this quiet neighborhood, and lovely home. Within walking distance to the Fiscalini Ranch Bluff trails, and about a 10 minute drive to town. Whether you're looking to rest and repair, or inspire and invigorate, you'll no doubt find it all, right here.

We stayed at this property for 10 days in September. First, let me start by saying that I liked the upstairs property and would happily stay there again. However, it is not accurately portrayed in the above description. It is NOT a two bedroom two bath property. It is actually two separate one bedroom one bath properties joined by a set of exterior stairs that can be quite steep and are often quite slippery from the marine layer. And the property manager charges for use and cleaning of the second bedroom in addition to the prime bedroom. The upper level has a lovely living room/dining room area with a fabulous view. However, it is not as self contained as the above description would lead you to believe. The washer and dryer are not located in this unit, but rather the unit downstairs. So, to do laundry, you are making several trips up and down the external stairs or sitting in the downstairs unit while the laundry is running. Unfortunately, the downstairs unit consists of a bedroom and a partial kitchen only - no living room area and no chairs on the outside deck. Finally,the upstairs unit dies have a lovely gas fireplace. Unfortunately, to use it, one must get to ones hands and knees on the floor to regulate the fireplace controls - something that is not friendly to seniors or the mobility impaired.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
