Welcome to The Rookery Cottage! A fabulous 3 bdrm, 2 bath cottage in the tranquil coastal community called the The Rookery III.
The Cottage features brand new furnishings and appliances! It sleeps up to 6 guests with 2 King beds and 2 Twin beds. And, we have wireless internet!
The Rookery is located along Fort Morgan Rd in the heart of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge! This is paradise for nature lovers! Enjoy bird watching, hiking, biking, shelling, fishing, swimming in the Gulf of Mexico and swimming in the community pool (located just behind the cottage).
Want to explore the area by car? It's just a 20-25 minute drive to Gulf Shores, a 30 minute drive to Foley (outlet shopping!), 35 minute drive to Orange Beach, and a 45 minute drive to Perdido Key, FL! You can also take the ferry to Dauphin Island.
The Rookery III has two very inviting community pools. The zero entry pool is just outside your door when you stay at The Rookery Cottage! Just returned from our stay at The Rookery III in Fort Morgan, AL. We had a great time and really can't say enough about how awesome this condo is. If you like a quiet, peaceful vacation, then this is the place for you. This condo is in a development where the condos are not right on top of one another. Instead you have some room to breathe. The development is quiet and clean. The pool was very nice and right outside our door! The condo itself is clean and spacious. It has plenty of room for at least 6 people. The owners were very informative and provided excellent instructions. I am already looking forward to a return visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We recently stayed at the rookery Saturday through Monday nights. We were SO impressed! Everything was exactly as described, except better. The home was beautiful and perfect for our family. The screened porch was great and having the pool right outside the back door was amazing. We will recommend this home to family and friends!! The owners emailed us all the information we needed and the house was equipped with everything we needed and more!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We only had a couple of nights to spend at the beach and we were so happy to find this place available! The cabin is clean with plenty of room and comfortable beds. It is only a short drive to the beach, which was very secluded. Fort Morgan is a breath of fresh air compared to the crowded beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The pool is just behind the cabin and was very inviting. The kids loved staying at this house! If you are traveling with kids, get some nets and flashlights and take them crab hunting on the beach at night. Too much fun! The only regret on this trip was not having more time to stay. Will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I really don't have any complaints. The beds were comfortable. The screened porch was nice and overlooks the pool (which never got noisy, by the way). Plenty of dishes for our use and the kitchen overall was above average. Only substandard item was a sticky shower door in the guest bath. The rental company was very easy to work with. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

This was our first time to visit the Fort Morgan area and our stay at the Rookery III was fabulous. At about 14 miles from Gulf Shores, it is a little off the beaten path but if you are looking for relaxation, it is well worth it and the drive out Hwy 180 is very nice. We found everything to be exactly as described in the listing, surprisingly (in my opinion) even better than described. The picture you see is the actual unit, however the house is much larger than it appears and is perfectly situated right next to the pool. The house is obviously quite new (even smells new), well maintained, very spacious and comfortable. We are very picky about cleanliness, but this place was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is very large and well equipped with everything you will need and there is a dining area for 6. The living room area was very comfortable with a nice large flat screen tv (flat screens in the bedrooms too) although we didn't find much time to watch tv. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. The screened in porch was great for relaxing evenings by the pool as well (for those with young kids and concerns about being so near the pool, the pool is fenced and there is no direct access to the pool from the house, you must walk around to enter the gate from the other side- very safe, but convenient). With a sloping entrance to the very large pool, and a separate children's pool, it is great for small kids and seniors too. The bottom line is that it was very comfortable for our family of 4, but would be great for up to 6 as well. Although this property is not located right on the beach, there is easy access (with good parking) to the beach in several locations nearby. It only takes a couple minutes to get to the beach and found access to the beach to be very convenient, and in fact enjoyed our trips over to the beach. There is alot to see in the area. For any history buffs, I would recommend a visit to Fort Morgan, and the beaches in the area are secluded and peaceful. Our experiences with the property owner were A++. Val and Renee, the owners are very kind, courteous and helpful and all emails and phone calls with any questions were answered promptly. We will definitely stay here again in the future and would love to check out some of their other properties I saw listed in different areas. Great experience and have already made recommendations to my family and friends! The Rookery Cottage Rental Agreement Version 1.1 I agree to rent from Val & Renee’ Morel ("Agents" for Dave Legendre) the premises known as "The Rookery Cottage" located at: 6032 Osprey Loop Gulf Shores, AL 36542 for the period commencing and ending on the agreed upon dates. Under the following terms and conditions, it is understood that the property will be used as a family rental only. NO HOUSE PARTIES. Minimum Age Minimum age to rent this property is 21 years old. Deposit I understand that if I pay a $200 Reservation Deposit, that deposit will hold my reservation and the $200 will be deducted from my rental fee. Rental Fee I agree to pay the total rental fee that has been agreed upon no later than 2 months prior to the commencement date of the rental period. Failure to pay in full within this time frame may result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture for deposit. Damage ~ I agree to purchase Accidental Rental Damage Insurance at the time of booking. The policy is issued through Travel Guard and the cost is $45. The insurance provides up to $1,500.00 in accidental damage insurance should any damage occur during my stay. ~ I agree to be responsible for any damage that exceeds the $1,500.00 Accidental Damage Insurance policy. I agree to provide credit card information to be used in the event that damages exceed the $1,500.00 coverage limit. ~ I understand that the Accidental Rental Damage Insurance does not cover intentional acts/vandalism. Sheets do not need to be stripped from the bed. o Clean all dirty dishes and put them in the proper place in the cabinets. o Remove all perishables and food items from the refrigerator. o Collect all garbage and place outside in the garbage can. o Set the thermostat to 80° when A/C is on, 60° when heat is on. o Turn off all lights and appliances. o Close and lock the premises. Right Of Entry I agree that the OWNER or his AGENT shall have the right to enter into the premises, or any part thereof, for the purpose of examining the same or making repairs or alterations deemed necessary.
