Our Rose Covered Cottage is on a quiet lane in Guerneville. Just a few blocks from town and a short walk to the river. The guest cottage overlooks a cottage garden, with separate entrance and parking. Historically it was built as a water tower about 1900. The Rose Cottage has recently been remodeled, and is now a quiet retreat. The bedroom has a king bed and the living room a new queen bed sofa. Completely equipped galley kitchen and bathroom with a large shower. There is excellent wireless internet service. Guerneville is unique village on the Russian River with great restaurants and shops, surrounded by vineyards and great Wineries. You will be delighted by the wonderful river access or a short drive will take you to the ocean. Terrific hiking in Armstrong Woods and world class biking, followed by a lazy float down the river which runs through the Redwood forest. A great place for a long or short get away. The neighborhood is quiet but an easy stroll just a few blocks to the center of town.
If you come to Guerneville for one of the Vineman Triathlons, the special events, the music festivals, or just to relax you will never need to get in your car, you can walk down to the center of Guerneville.
Our house is close but not too close. We enjoy our guests who come from all over the world, but know how to give them privacy. We feel privileged to live in this beautiful spot. Come visit!

Great little spot. Nicely appointed kitchen. Comfy bed. Internet service patchy because signal very weak. Some of the workmanship on the cottage a little shoddy - cracks in the floors near the molding... Still needs a bit of work.. But still we really enjoyed our stay & for the most part, extremely charming. Owners very obliging.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children.

I appreciate your bring a molding issue to our attention. A built-in cabinet was removed from the closet and the molding was not replace at the back wall. I will take care of that this weekend. We really enjoy our guests, thanks for staying at The Rose Cottage.

The Rose Cottage is in a perfect location - close to town, yet quiet and relaxing. A short 2 miles from Armstrong woods, you rest comfortably in a large king bed, have a lovely bathroom, and are left with plenty of space for a couple. The yard and house are beautiful. Kathy provided a wealth of information on what to do, where to eat, and opinions on the best the Russian RIver valley has to offer. She is extremely helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. A great weekend!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

About the owner: We feel privileged to live in this gorgeous Russian River area. Sonoma County’s spectacular scenery gives us pleasure every day. There are magnificent redwoods on our property and I especially enjoy hiking at Armstrong Redwoods Park, only 2 miles from home. Our family owns the Bodega Bay Inn where we having enjoyed welcoming guests for years.
