A wonderful getaway with friends or family. Lots to do in the surrounding areas, but perfect to just stay put and enjoy the peaceful environment. Great restaurants and fun shopping nearby. Lodge is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Would love to have staedy longer. Would be beautiful in the Fall with gorgeous colors and lovely temperatures. Would definately recommend for a relaxing getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a great place to relax with friends. A large kitchen and living area and the leather couch and leather chairs are great. Only trouble is now my wife wants a couple of new chairs. The deck is huge and a great place to grill steaks and drink wine. The two fish ponds that the deck looks over are beautiful. I didn't personally have enough patience to catch any fish. It is frustrating to see large bass swimming below the water showing no interest in you. Would like to come back when the leaves change as it must be beautiful. Especially from the overlook that was built just up the road in Highlands pass. ( a very short hike ) . Good place to take pictures.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Hummingbird Lodge was wonderful, and Julia was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The hammock on the deck was pure heaven, especially when listening to the thunder and watching the rain on the ponds. The Lodge is peaceful, secluded, and relaxing. We will definitely plan another vacation here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time! The Hummingbird Lodge is soooo nice, and the area here is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much. We went shopping Saturday and found this pottery vase. We thought it would be pretty on your table! Thank you again so much! Rachel, Chad, Caroline, Dianna and Sydney. P.S. We love your front porch, the pond and the Gazebo....Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was a lovely place to get away from the everyday. The house is spacious, the kitchen very well equipped, and the bedroom / bathroom configurations are conducive to privacy and a restful night's sleep. The large porch provided a great place to relax and enjoy the views. There were nice hiking trails near by, the town of Franklin is quaint, and we even tried our hand at mining for gems. Overall it was a nice long weekend and we have no regrets about booking the house. On word of caution. The final approach to the house is on a dirt / sand road and steep. During a rainy or snowy season you might want to be sure to have a rear wheel, or 4 wheel, drive vechical.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners.

The property is much more beautiful than the pictures depict. The kids loved the fish and release, the hammock, and playing pool. The scenery is absolutely beautiful with lots of outdoor activities and fun filled memory makers. The property manager was a dream to work with, very professional and helpful. The printed list of area attractions she greated us with was especially thoughtful. The property is in the country, peaceful and secluded but not to far out. We hiked, we mined, we fished, we had a blast. Only wish that we were there in the winter and see the area in front of the fireplace with snow on the ground. PERFECT.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
