This very private, peaceful retreat is set deep in the woods on 13 acres of rolling hills just a half-mile from Lambert's Cove Beach. It includes everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Four large bedrooms sleep eight in comfort. The spacious living and dining rooms are divided by a unique three-sided fireplace. A comfortable family room adjoins the fully-equipped kitchen. The wide outdoor deck overlooks a small stream and includes a screened porch (ideal for curling up with a book or sleeping).
For the adventurous, additional sleeping is available in a rustic "cabin-in-the-woods" across the stream.
This is a beach-lover's paradise. Lambert's Cove beach, one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches on the Island, is available to West Tisbury residents and their guests only. The owner can also provide access to a private, gated beach in Chilmark on the south side of the Island. If you like fresh-water swimming, there are two small ponds, Seth's Pond and Ice House Pond, less than a mile away.
Shopping and the ferry are within a ten-minute drive. A kayak is available for your use and the owner, who is a native islander, is happy to provide "insider information" on the best of Martha's Vineyard.

My husband and I built this, our family home in 1972. We raised our four boys here. George passed away in 2007 and I now live elsewhere on the Island.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Above all else, guests describe my house as comfortable and quiet. It immediately feels like home, not a "rental" property. Many have said their favorite spot is the screened porch, where they enjoy reading, playing card games, and leisurely breakfasts.

Our stay here was wonderful and relaxing. The location is great; while the house is secluded, we were able to walk and drive everywhere to see the beauty that Martha's Vineyard has to offer. Lynn is personable and friendly, and offered suggestions of what to see and do during our stay. My husband and I, and our two dogs, absolutely loved both beaches!!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I've now stayed in this house 3 times over as many years, and if I'm vacationing in Martha's Vineyard this is where I look to stay. It's a fantastic deal.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I've stayed at this house for the past two summers for a few weeks with a group of friends. It's a great location and I've been completely satisfied with my visit each time. The location is great - very central and quiet. It's also easy to get to Lambert's Cove Beach - 10 minute walk or a short drive. The house itself is quite private and secluded. There's plenty of room for parking - definitely need a car here.
Recommended for:Families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Lynn, House was great, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The use of Lamberts Cove Beach and especially Quansoo were two definite perks.
Recommended for:Pet owners, tourists without a car.
