Custom luxury home nestled in a National Park-like setting. Perched next to the Big Laurel River trout stream, the home has views of the stream from most all of the many windows. A short hike up the mountain provides awe-inspiring mountain views. This gorgeous cabin was perfect for hosting my sister's bachelorette weekend! All of us girls had one fabulous night in at the cabin, sitting around the large rustic table while sipping cocktails under the antler chandelier which we draped with pink feather boas. We were just a short drive away from downtown Asheville where we had dinner out the next night. Also, the small town of Hot Springs is just charming, and there are some really cool shops and great places to eat there. The cabin was perfect for so sleeping so many of us, and we brought an extra air mattress to accomodate us all. The private loft space was quiet and secluded from the downtsairs living area. Furthermore, the Bear River gated community is a stunning upscale community, and you will not be disappointed staying here. This cabin was right on the river, and you can enjoy sitting outside on the patio by the fish pond or in the screened-in porch. While the owner was gracious enough to let us stay here as a gift to my sister, it is well worth the money. I also have two little boys, and this cabin would be perfect for a getaway for a family or two!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife, two sons (18 and 21), plus our two traveling companion dogs had a great time staying two nights at Best Water's Edge. Our goal was to have a quite setting to relax before and after whitewater rafting on the Nolichucky River at Cherokee Adventures in Erwin, TN. The trip was a blast and we truly enjoyed the quiet river setting afterwards. The cabin was as described. The pool table is in great condition and received a lot of late night use. Deb was very helpful with the booking and other things to do in the area. If we are in Hot Springs again, we will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Amazing location. Nestled rigarousing the Big Laurels banks in private gated community. No other houses in sight. Enjoy the grill, fire pit, great fishing, scenic walks and fresh mountain air with a constant rush of the river. Pool table made evenings festive and bedrooms more than adequate. A must stay only a few mile from AT, river rafting and mountain peaks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Wonderful place to stay. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our party, and all of us were impressed with the beautiful, spacious home, sounds of the stream, magnificent views, and privacy. We were also very pleased to see that the house was very well stocked--kitchen items, linens, everything we needed and wanted. Some of our group went tubing down the stream right in front of the house. All of us enjoyed a full day whitewater rafting on one of the days, and were pleased to come back to this beautiful home in the evening. We used the grill, sat out on the porch, roasted marshmallows, went inside and watched a DVD on the huge flat screen...We had a splendid vacation and highly recommend this home and our rental agent Deb Burks.Did you find this review helpful?
