The description of this property is very accurate and we had a great week in this delightful place. The house itself was clean, beautifully furnished and homely. The view from the jetty constantly changes with the light and we enjoyed stunning sunsets and sunrises from the Adirondack chairs. We rented a skiff from tilghmanmarina.com which allowed us to explore all the other creeks beyond Harris creek, which, whilst beautiful, left us feeling "our creek" was the best! We had no need for service from the owner as everything worked, but we felt that Marianne would be on the case if anything became problematic.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. M.
The property was beautiful. The house was remarkable. The furnishings were awesome. It was everything that was described in the VRBO listing and more. We spent the week with our adult children and their spouses (20 somethings) and have never enjoyed being together more. We watched the sunset out on the water in the kayaks every night. Sitting on the dock was beautiful and peaceful. This was a great place to just relax and escape from stressful daily life. The library and music collection kept us entertained. The kitchen was perfect for cooking fresh caught crabs together as a family. Waking up in the morning and looking out on the water from bed was wonderful and I wish I could carry that feeling back home with me. The Hydrangeas were awesome! I would recommend this property to any family without little children. This is a place to relax, not entertain little ones. Maryanne was invaluable. She recommended great restaurants and entertainment in St. Michaels. We have nothing but good things to say. We'd love to go back again.

Great refuge from the storm!
Great refuge from the storm!
We two Floridians were on our way to Boston when a Massachusetts snowstorm cancelled flights, leaving us in the D.C. area for almost a week with no plans. A quick check of VRBO turned up this charming cottage. Marianne had it ready for us soon after we inquired. What a lucky find! The house is comfortable, and quiet. Views of Harris Creek are mesmerizing. We've never had a vacation rental with such a great library. Nearby St. Michaels and Tilghman Island seafood restaurants were great, and we explored as far as beautiful Assateague Island. Our stay -- while unplanned -- was delightful. We already have recommended the house to friends.

The stay and the cottage was wonderful. The furnishings are beautiful and adds a unique charm. The dock was great...and we enjoyed catching LOTS of crabs and then steaming them YUMMY Would definitely NOT count on using any of the bikes...bring your own. The bike routes are great.

Great way to relax!
Great way to relax!
What a perfect Zen spot this wonderful cottage turned out to be! We loved everything about it, from the relaxed, private wooded setting, the scent of pine, the eclectic design of the interior, the gorgeous antiques, the fabulous book and music collection that the owner so graciously let us use, the incredible water view, and truley amazing sunsets that we made sure that we planned into every evening while we sat on the dock. This was a perfect way for us to unwind from our busy lives, and by the time the week was over, we were actually ready to go back to the chaos, knowing we had achieved what we had set out to do. That was to enjoy the time away in a beautiful relaxing place! We will return to that very same spot since we now believe it was designed just for us! Thanks Marianne! Tom and Kate from Central PA
