DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Insulated from the outside world, yet only minutes by air or ferry from downtown Seattle lies some of the best waterfront in the Western United States. This magnificent home graces the shores of Puget Sound in a private enclave. The nearly 300 feet of high-bank waterfront offers a commanding 180 degree view of Mt Baker, the Cascade Mountains, the town of Kingston, parts of Seattle, ferry crossings and shipping lanes -- a breathtaking view that never grows old. This is the ultimate in luxury living and a rare find in the high-end rental market.
INTERIOR
Built with the exquisite view in mind, every room offers an incredible vantage point. The inside boasts 4000 square feet of Northwest contemporary design and architecture at its finest. You’ll find the 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, grand living room, library, 3 gas fireplaces, workshop, exercise room, and 2-car garage very comfortable. The hand-milled oak floors throughout the main floors are stunning. The skylights and full plate windows let in plenty of natural light. The chef’s kitchen offers a Thermador cooktop, 2 Gaggenau ovens, a Subzero fridge and freezer, yards of tiled counter space, eating bar, maple cabinetry and great lighting. The dining room, family room and massive living room have vaulted ceilings, dark wood finish work, exposed beams and clear cedar walls. Down the hallway is the library and master bedroom. The large master bath has multiple closets, soaking tub, shower, and granite counter. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, each with private bathrooms.
EXTERIOR & GROUNDS
An absolute delight in this waterfront oasis is the ever-changing landscape of ferries, cruise ships, freighters, tugboats, sailboats, motor boats, and every other kind of watercraft that quietly make their way through the shipping lanes. Watching the dozens of trips that the ferryboats make each day is a popular, peaceful pastime.
In addition to the spectacular views, this 4-acre property includes superb manicured landscaping complete with specimen plants and lovely private nature trails. It is bordered by a year-round stream. The spacious deck offers over 2000 square feet of area. It could serve in a multitude of uses and is a wonderful place to take in nature’s amazing displays, a rich viewing pleasure. An in-ground pool, which also overlooks the water, serves as the perfect way to refresh one’s self on warm summer days—yes, we do have them!
Wildlife is also plentiful. Eagles habitually perch on the tall Doug Fir trees right above the house. The adjacent woods provide a sanctuary for a variety of other birds, and it is common to spot deer meandering through the grounds early in the morning. An easy path leads to the private clam, crab and oyster laden beach. It’s wonderful to walk along the clean beach with very few people around. On those special occasions you can sight Orca whales pass by.
INVITATION
You are invited to a place of beauty and peace, pleasure and delight. This amazing waterfront estate will leave you breathless with its incredible views, gorgeous garden, peaceful natural surroundings, and fantastic home.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the house! The pictures on the website are fantastic, but we were even more blown away when we saw it in person. Everything was so beautiful and very comfortable. We didn't give ourselves nearly enough time to enjoy the whole house because it was so enormous. We could have gone out for meals, but it ended up being much more enjoyable to cook and hang out and relax at the house. My husband and I stayed in the master suite and everyone else stayed upstairs. It was glorious. We saw otters on the porch and a bald eagle flew right past our window. The view of the water is spectacular from nearly every room in the house. You'll see the ferry coming and going as well as other ships. The lights of Kingston are gorgeous at night. We had a wonderful stay, and the property manager, Sterling Lemme, took very good care of us. I highly recommend this property. Do ask Sterling about the layout of the bedrooms as some share bathrooms and your guests may have some preferences in regards to that.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

It's hard to explain how exceptional this property is. The house is great and the pictures and other reviews do a nice jobof describing things. For us the real impact was the property itself. The house sits up on the bank and is surrounded by a pretty massive chunk of real estate. You really have total privacy here and just spectacular views. The yard was a playground for some awefully cute little squirels. Over head in the trees a bald eagle would come and visit everyday, and one morning we had the pleasure of meeting a pair of river otters right on the lawn. Unbelievably cool. Bottom line is if you're interested in both luxury and the ultimate in PNW scenary this property is a great choice.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We picked this place because we were looking for a quiet and peaceful family getaway, far from the Texas heat. Everyone LOVED our 1-week stay. Or adult children enjoyed walking on the beach during low tides. My favorite part was watching the ferries come and go, even at night too. The ferry passes in front of the home, and docks not too far away. It’s active waterfront (sailboats, cruise ships, ferries, etc.) yet very calm and peaceful at the same time. You can’t tell from some of the pictures, but the house has an amazing 180 degree view. We will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

As someone who reads and values reviews I will do my best to provide a brief and accurate description. We have stayed in other high-end vacation rentals (Hawaii, California, Mexico). WOW…This place is AMAZING!! I have lived a good portion of my life in the Northwest/Seattle area and this is one of the nicest pieces of Puget Sound waterfront I have ever laid eyes on. My husband and I joined 2 other couples from Seattle for a 3-day weekend getaway. There are VIEWS from every room, except 1 upstairs bedroom. I was told the house was built in the early 70’s, and most of it is original. Some people may not appreciate the older, dated aspects of the home: tiled countertops, older appliances (but they work), fixtures, etc. Some remodeling and updating might be nice, but my husband and I actually like the home maintaining its original integrity, which is in good shape. It’s not tired and dreary like some older homes. The owners have obviously taken care of it and it shows. They don’t allow loud/rowdy parties or large groups and events like weddings (which could really destroy a place like this). They ask guests to remove their shoes to help keep the hardwoods gleaming. There is plenty of space throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the grocery store was only a 5 minute drive from the home. Bedrooms are large and beds are super comfortable. My girlfriends liked the down comforters and pillows. They even have down alternatives for those who are hypoallergenic. I did have to get used to the slight odor from the water (well water) but it wasn’t too bad. Yes, the home is sufficiently nice, but the setting is AMAZING!! A true panoramic view that includes sailboats, the ferry, shipping lanes and mountains (on the 2 clear days we had). Eagles even perched on trees next to the home! Book this place and experience a stunning waterfront estate, privacy, comfortable furnishings and beautiful home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
