Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of Kentucky Lake. Our house -- The Gathering Place -- is the ideal place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, eating, fishing, swimming, boating, lounging, playing games, sharing stories, laughing, or resting.
The Gathering Place has three bedrooms, all of which offer second-floor views of the lake. A private dock offers convenient access to swimming or fishing in the bay just off the main lake. This family-friendly house offers a place for friends and family to gather while enjoying one of the nation's largest man-made lakes.
The master bedroom offers a king bed and attached master bathroom. Another bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed. A second bathroom is near the bedrooms. Each of the two living rooms on the main level include sofas that feature pull-out queen beds. A pack-n-play is available for guests who have an infant of toddler with them.

The house was beautiful and had a large amount of space for my entire family. We were able to catch numerous fish from the dock, not even having to take our boat out. Definitely will be staying there again in the future. The owners were great and had answers to all my questions and even let us check in earlier than the normal time.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

We stayed at The Gathering Place to unwind and spend time at the lake. This property was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The view from the deck is great and we enjoyed sitting out and playing cards or just reading. We rented a pontoon boat just around the corner and it was well maintained and reasonable. It is about a 25 minute drive to Murray, but this was the only "inconvenient" thing and wasn't really a big deal. The house has everything you need, even charcoal (nice touch!), some family friendly DVD's, a Sony big screen with/ satellite and wi-fi. We highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Fantastic time. The house was perfect for a family of eight. A lot of room. Husbands loved docking their boats so close and the kids loved swimming in the lake. All descriptions and photos were excellent and well represent what is really there. Very well maintained. Owner was extremely helpful. Couldn't ask for a nicer and more helpful person. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and quite and reuniting with family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

This was our family yearly get together. The house was great. We had plenty of room for everyone and we loved the dock. We also enjoyed the DVD movies you had as the temperatures were in the 100's part of the time we were there. Thank you for your house. It suited our needs perfectly. We loved it.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our two large families spent 5 wonderful days at the Gathering place. The property was even better than we expected. No disappointments. This part of the lake is beautiful. The kids loved swimming off the dock, which was also convenient for tying up our rented boat (nearby Sugar Creek Bay Marina was great.) Just a few of the extra amenities are a corn-hole game, a grill (charcoal included), a fire-pit, WiFi, and a generous supply of fishing poles...this place is full of stuff to do. The owners don't miss a detail. You won't be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a great vacation on the lake at The Gathering Place! The house was beautiful and spacious, and had everything we needed and then some for an enjoyable week. We only had 3 adults, a toddler and a baby, but there was plenty of room for more. The kitchen was well-stocked for preparing meals, and the owners provided information on great places to eat out. The private dock was nice, and we enjoyed swimming in the shallow water. Even though the internet said water temperature was less than 80 degrees, the water in the bay was much warmer. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the cool breezes! You can't go wrong with this house - I would definitely rent again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This house is beautiful and big enough for a large gathering of family and friends. The house is spacious and nicely appointed. The yard and view are beautiful. Even better, I caught some huge shell crackers and a nice bass. Even my kids were catching fish. The paddle boat is a lot of fun and the area around the dock is great for swimming. Overall, a great place to bring your family for a relaxing week at the lake. Close enough to many amenities and great restaurants.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We met at nearby Murray State and have settled into raising our family here. We believe in making investments into our community, prefer sharing our lives with our families and friends who are like family, and are often planning our next road trip.
Why the Owner Chose Murray:
We love spending time on Kentucky Lake, whether it's on a tube attached to a jet ski, aboard a pontoon boat with people we love, or on the shore grilling dinner. This house gives us a chance to share what we love about this area with other people. It's on a bay just off the main lake, which makes fishing and swimming easier. Plus the house is just 14 miles from where we live when we aren't hanging out on Kentucky Lake.
