Great Cabin, Peaceful location
Great Cabin, Peaceful location
My girlfriend and I stayed for a little under a week at this cabin and we had an amazing time. it was peaceful, and quiet, other than the creek flowing past in the back yard wich is quite soothing. wifi access to fast internet, cable, everything we needed from dish and laundry detergent to dishes and linens. we both got cell phone reception, her with verizon and me with tracphone. not great reception but pretty good for being in the mountains. 1 to 2 bars and no dropped calls. the place was upkept very nicely. i read the previous review as i was planning another stay and was amazed at how negative the anonymous poster was titled "miss guided" not sure where they stayed but did not sound like the same place to me. the downstairs basement area is being prepared for renovation and the owner told me that, as well as the code for the key box, wifi, and security system. the central air control is not locked and can be changed. it was comfortable for us inside and out. had a wonderful time, and plan on staying again

Owner response: Thank You Bryce, I am glad that you guys had a great stay and thank you for the nice review.
I thought I was renting from a women who cared about her guests but I was wrong. The picture on the right of the cabin does not describe the outside of the cabin at all, it needs to be cleaned badly! The sign for the stairs says "ice" it should say slippery most of the time! The stairs do need to be lighted up very dangerous!. As for my arrival, map quest could not provided us with the exact location, tried to call the owner twice, no answer nor did she ever call back, when we found the place we were greeted by the house keeper, who thank god was there because the owner gave me the wrong key code and we would have been locked out. We had arrived early which was approved all we wanted to do was drop off our stuff and go but the house keeper said that she had done enough and left. Well she had plenty more cob webs and windows to clean! I paid a nice fee for housekeeping I expect it very very clean! The house was set on 69 degrees which froze us out. The house looks like a two story house with a loft well down stairs looks like it has been under construction for year. Now do to service for our phones we picked this cabin because of the WI Fi well once again no code when called, she NEVER called me back! Why not? I paid for the amenities I deserve to use it! Well that meant we could not plan our daily activities without going into town! More time wasted we were only there three days! Customer service is horrible! Please don't quit your day job! You do have a nice back yard, but no chairs and NO LIGHT is not welcoming at all! The cabin has potential but it needs some TLC and some better lighting in and out! You never told me the ice maker and water does not work in the freezer, just made it to the store before they closed! Then I thought we were in a peaceful place well peaceful if you do not mind hearing the neighbors dogs all day long bark and bark what a shame! Please do something about these issues the cabin could be really pretty, and you just need some costumer service lessons, you were nice to talk to before I left so I guess you just don;'t care!

Owner response: I am sorry you did not find my Cabin to your liking. I try to assure that all my guest have a pleasant stay in my home. I do not know why you were unable to access the Wi-Fi. I have contacted the provider and they did send out a repairman who did not find any problems. Pertaining to the cleanliness of the cabin, I have discussed the matter with my housekeeper and hopefully this type of situation can be avoided in the future. Thank you for your comments. We encourage honest responses and will work to improve to make BEARADISE the best choice for a great family Get-a-way.
Stayed for the New Year with the family. The cabin was beautiful and very cozy! My kids loved exploring in the back yard by the woods and river, we also had a great time roasting marsh-mellows at the fire pit. 'Bearadise' was well equipped, also with many board games which we enjoyed while staying warm by the fireplace! We had a great vacation and the owner was always very helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely return to the cozy Bearadise!! =)

Owner response: Thank You for you kind review. And thank you for taking such good care of the cabin. We hope you consider us when planning your future vacations. We are constantly improving the cabin and will soon be able to accomodate up to 10 guest. Kindest Regards Suzanne
The cabin is beautiful and Brasstown Creek runs just behind the cabin. I enjoyed my stay at the cabin, it is decorated beautiful and very clean and very well maintained. I visited the John C Campbell Folk School, the Smokies, and antique shops. We had a great trip. The only thing I would change, would be provide TV service. The movies provided were enjoyable but we had to watch the Alabama/LSU game on the lap top, which was not bad. The owner was very helpful and answered all my questions but I over looked the fact that TV service was not provided. If TV services is added, I will consider renting again in Feburary 2013 for my return trip and if TV service is added I would recommend it to friends and family. The Chop Shop and the Pink Pig are good places to eat.

quiet and relaxing
quiet and relaxing
It was quiet and relaxing environment, just what we needed. We visit John C. Campbell Folk School and it was really really great do not go there without seeing it. We had a couple inconvenient but we talked with the owner and they plan on solving those issues for next renters. Really open people to discussion and comments. Also, the listing was saying mountain view....no mountain view in our opinion but maybe we do not have the same definition of mountain view. Suggest to erase that. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Great Memorial Day Weekend
Great Memorial Day Weekend
This cabin was beautiful and although it was only my husband & myself, it was perfect. We enjoyed fishing, sitting on the deck listening to the sound of the stream and visited many surrounding areas. It seemed like there were so many things to do, we couldn't fit it all in with only a 4 day weekend. On Sunday, we drove toward Cherokee on Hwy 19/74 and watched all the rafting and kayaking along the way. There were several places to stop and watch them all go by. On Monday, we drove around Chatuge Lake into Hiawassee GA which also was a beautiful drive. Our favorite place to eat in Murphy was Chevelle's downtown. It was what I describe as a type of sportsbar but had excellent food. May I suggest the marinated duck breast (DELICIOUS). Great atmosphere with an outdoor patio. Thanks for the wonderful weekend.

Why the Owner Chose Brasstown:
We fell in love with the beautiful little town of Brasstown; the people are friendly and welcoming to their community. There are several activities for the children and adults. We had a desire to be on water and when we saw the beauty of this cabin and the creek frontage we were hooked.
