Wow! What a perfect place to stay in the perfect town for a track meet! This was so much better than staying in a hotel. We had a great time cheering on The MN Gophers. Lovely home, and Kenny and Jeanne are terrific hosts.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It is hard to imagine that we could have been made any more comfortable. Our family of four spent three nights while enjoying Track Town, USA. It is perhaps the first time in my vacation rental experience that I never thought, "I wish they had...". Our favorite parts of the home were the beautiful, peaceful setting, the well appointed kitchen, the wide-open living space, and the grand piano. We hope to be able to return.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Six women runners from all corners of the USA came together for one magical weekend of marathoning, and are leaving with a solid bond of friendship. Thank you for offering your lovely home so we could make these memories.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great house, the main hang out area is much bigger than it looks in the pictures, with musical instruments on one side and the living room on the other with a big dining table in between. Very well stocked, ideal location. The place even seems to have its own private ecosystem when it is foggy!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We just returned from staying in this wonderful house. We highly recommend this house for anyone visiting Eugene. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. We also found helpful information about the area in the guest book. The house has comfortable beds, a cozy fireplace, and is tastefully decorated. The owner brought us more firewood and soap since he lives so close by. Whenever we had any questions, he responded within minutes. The neighborhood is central, close to grocery stores and downtown, and walking distance from a park, as well as surrounded by very nice-looking houses. It was a great stay and we would return!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay. After a long day of touring University or Oregon or driving to the stunning coastline of Yachats, or visiting King's Estate Winery or attending an electrifying U of O Duck's game, coming back to this property was always eagerly anticipated. Hard wood floors, slate countertops, an updated bathroom, extraordinarily comfortable beds and working fireplace invited and soothed our weary selves. Easy walking to grocery stores, restaurants. A short run took us to U of Oregon campus one day and a beautiful trailhead on another. We would return again and definitely recommend this property! Additionally, the owners were generous and accommodating even when we changed our travel dates and added an additional guest.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1990
About the owner: We moved to Eugene separately, in 1975-1976. Both of us thought if we liked the area then we would stay, and if not we'd leave. We've never left. We love the Pacific Northwest, and especially Oregon. Loving Eugene says a lot about us personally. We enjoy meeting new friends, and know the area very well in case you're looking for some recommendations. Please tell us a little about your planned visit. It helps us when we know who we're speaking with. Thanks.
Why the Owner Chose Eugene:
This is where we live year round. Our home is in the back of the property, in an apartment that's mostly over the garage (separate everything.) The location is ideal. Walking distance to groceries and restaurants; walking and bike trails along the Willamette river; the UO campus including Hayward Field and Matthew Knight Arena; buses that leave to the doorstep of Autzen Stadium a few blocks from the home; a short jog to both the Amazon Running Trail, and also the Prefontaine Trail. And there's an easy drive to the Oregon Coast, Cascade Mountains, Crater Lake, rivers and lakes, rafting and fishing, mountain biking, golfing and winter sports. An outdoor paradise.
Eugene also has a symphony, ballet, opera, galleries, the Bach Festival, and numerous cultural events. The Cuthbert Amphitheater in summer months is an unbeatable venue for concerts of all types.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of 'Eugene's finest neighborhoods'. Quiet and tree lined, every home is different. The Location couldn't be better. In addition you get Jeanne and Kenny as your very gracious hosts.
