  Me and a group of friends just came back from a weekend at the Round House and simply put, it was AMAZING! The minute we walked in we were taken back by the beautiful kitchen (with an electric stove & dishwasher), cathedral ceilings, cozy, big living room and our beautiful views of the woods & mountains from the upstairs & downstairs deck. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless with great storage space. The master bedroom had a beautiful updated connecting bathroom and nice sized T.V’s in very room where we could all cuddle up and watch movies and sports. The downstairs had a warm cozy tavern feeling with the pool table, dartboard and T.V. Everything we needed was either already in the house or at our finger tips down the road in the community’s town shops. There were a million fun things to do during the day such as fishing, zip lining, swimming and hiking. We spent most of our time outside on the main deck barbecuing where deer would come right up to us and hang out. It was great! At night we would all sit around the fire pit then come inside & get a game of pool going. It was the perfect weekend getaway. The only thing better then the house was the owner Daniel. He’s a great guy and always quick to answer any questions and truly made planning this trip fun and stress-free. He was very accommodating and went above & beyond to please us and made sure we had everything we needed and had a great time. By the 2nd night my group & I were already discussing coming back up here in the summer time. So for the millionth time, THANK YOU DAN! :) To any travelers who happen to read this review, I can assure you your search for renting out a house in P.A. is over. The Round House should be your choice you will not be disappointed. -Lauren

  We stayed at the round house for 3 nights and couldnt be happier. The house is located in a beautiful community with many activities, especially in the summer. The kitched was fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes to serve many. The furniture int he cabin was modern and in excellent condition. We griled, we lit the fire pit outside- we had an awesome time!!!

  We just returned back from a great week at the roundhouse. We absolutely loved the house and were very impressed with all of the amenities, how clean it was, the layout, the view... I could go on and on! We really enjoyed how this house was on the top of the mountain and we could see all the way down into the valley. We took advantage of the hot tub and the heated pool at the beautiful rec center too. Skiing was only minutes away! We loved the little heated 'foyer' area where you could take off your boots, store your skis, hang up all your coats and gear, etc.. without tracking snow into the condo. Great idea. The house is stocked full of so much stuff. Everything you need to make awesome dinners. 3 beautiful bedrooms, a great living room, (the huge red leather sofa was amazing) 2 baths. There could be no better value in the Poconos and we are already talking about doing the same thing next year! Thanks Dan also, for answering all my questions - great owner who gets back to you right away. Thanks for letting our family enjoy your home!

  Our family stayed in this home and it was everything described here and more. The owner was so helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We had a great family experience. It was our first family vacation where everyone could do what they wanted, whether laid back in the big red leather sofa or checking out the beautiful views on one of the decks. It was wonderful sharing meals with the extraordinary views in front of us, but we also took advantage of the numerous restaurant options a few minutes away in town. Everyone was able to enjoy the family togetherness and also not experience too much family togetherness. It was luxurious and casual. We will definitely stay here again.

  Our family of four had a wonderful time during our recent stay here. The house was clean, lovely and had all of the amenities we needed. It was right near the lodge where the fitness center, pool/hot tubs and slopes were located. The owner was very helpful - especially the list of things to do and suggestions of where to eat. We took their recommendation for the short hike and tubing at Shawnee Mountain which was about 15 minutes away. We will definitely vacation here again! Thanks.

  What a great weekend in the mountains! We loved our stay at the Round House and our time on the slopes at the Top of the World recreation center. The Top of the World center was only a 3 or 4 minute drive from the house which was perfect. The hospitality shown to us here by the owner Dan was outstanding! Thanks so very, very much! The kitchen, the family room, the game room, the decks, the beautifully decorated bedrooms - it was all wonderful!! We will be back!! Thank you!

  We loved the round house. The house was very clean upon our arrival and fit our needs perfectly. Dan was very accommodating, as was the home. I was glad to see snow on our last night - it was picturesque I dig the round table in the round house. We will be back.

  House was not clean upon arrival. However, the house itself was nice enough and big enough to suit our needs. Location was good for skiing at Shawnee. Word of warning would be that the house is located in the back of the neighborhood and requires navigating very steep roads and a fairly steep stone driveway which were a bit challenging due to the recent snow fall.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  Owner response: Dear Guests, I'm sorry if you felt the home was a little dirty. Normally, all of my guests tell me how nice and clean the home is when they arrive. I can assure you this was an isolated incident. I'm glad you were able to still enjoy the beauty of my home. As for the neighborhood: My place is, after all, "a mountain house" and my house happens to be located at the very top of the mountain. Saw Creek Estates (The gated community in which my home is located) does a great job a plowing and salting all the roads as quickly as possible.

  Me and my girlfriends had a wonderful time spending the weekend in this Poconos vacation home. Loved the layout....the house looks just like the pictures. It was clean and felt safe. Fireplace was nice, home well heated, and every room was comfortable. It is pretty far back in the gated community so be prepared to drive for a while, but it was worth it. Only regret was not having time to take advantage of the amenities like the pool and jacuzzi as planned. The owner, Dan, was very accommodating and answered all questions we had. I would definitely stay at this home again.

  Loved the round house! The house is very well kept, in a great location. Originally booked our stay to go whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe (just over an hour away) but we didn't have enough rain so we ended up going to Bushkill Falls (the Niagara of PA), about 20min away. We had deer walking around near the firepit on the side of the house and they're even brave enough to walk up to you...practically had a baby and it's momma on the back porch. Dan is extremely attentive, never had to wait more than a minute for an answer to any of my questions or concerns. The round house may be better for winter stays rather than summer since there is no air conditioning for the downstairs bedrooms. The top floor stays cool but the downstairs bedrooms were extremely warm through the night even with the fans on and the doors open. We'll most likely be back next year!
