Our home in the Kings Lake section of Naples is ten minutes from Fifth Avenue, downtown and the beaches. Kings Lake is a mature community with large trees and a diversity of lush vegetation. The lanai backs onto one of the community lakes where you will enjoy the views and watch the antics of a variety of ducks, wading birds, eagles and osprey. There is a mile-long jogging (or walking) path around the lake next to us. Basic food shopping, banking and local restaurants are minutes away, even within walking distance should you desire.
Downtown Naples is world-known for its upscale shops, fine restaurants, art galleries and coffee shops. It has pristine beaches and a long pier for fishing or just watching beautiful sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
Southwest Florida, of course, has a semitropical climate which never gets real cold and allows swimming in the Gulf year round as well as in our pool, which can also be heated.
The greater Naples area has every type of shopping, hundreds of restaurants, a live theatre and a Philharmonic Hall that features world-class performances. The area is also noted for its golf courses, many of which are many open to the public. There is an eighteen-hole executive course within a mile and it offers one-month memberships.
Our renovated home has two master bedrooms, one at either end of the house. The north bedroom has a king-sized bed, the south bedroom a queen. Both overlook the lake and each has its own full bath. The third bedroom, which can also serve as an office, has a day bed which can be arranged to sleep two. It also has its own bath.
The home has an open design with the living, dining, cooking and lanai areas flowing into each other for togetherness and easy entertainment. The kitchen has granite countertops, a five-burner two-oven range, a large frig that makes ice cubes, a microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher, etc. A walk-in pantry provides easy storage both for food stuffs and pots and pans. The home is surrounded with vegetation and offers total privacy on both sides. I am an artist and the home is decorated with dozens of my paintings, many of local scenes.
The lanai overlooks the pool and lake and faces east so you can enjoy your coffee with the sunrise in the cool of the morning, but at cocktail time you are protected from the much harsher rays of the late-day sun. It has a large barbecue grill and meals can be taken indoors or on the lanai.

About the owner: I am an artist and my husband and I participate in art shows all over South Florida. The landscape of the area and the Everglades are inspiring for a painter. Photographing sunsets over the gulf on the beach or from the fishing pier is wonderful subject matter to paint.
Why the Owner Chose Other Naples Properties:
We chose this location because of the wonderful weather in the winter. I had just learned to golf in Maine where the summer is short. So, we decided to rent a house in Naples for a month. We had a business that could be done over the internet so we were free to go. We liked it so much here we bought a house that very month.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy watching the sun come up in the morning on our lanai (7:30 - 8am) with a cup of coffee. We watch eagles fly over the flocks of ducks on our lake. In the evening, there is every type of restaurant in the area with every type of ambiance from coffee shop to top of the line fine dining for lunch or dinner to choose from.
