Year Purchased: 2000
About: My wife and I have a passion for older homes with lots of character and we enjoy decorating. We came into this business unintentionally by purchasing this home as a second home and realizing that it sat empty while we were working abroad. It gave us the idea to market it on the internet when we couldn't use it ourselves. It became so popular we found ourselves without a place to stay when we would return home. We purchased 3 more homes in old town, all with heated pools and now I run this business full time. It is a labour of love!
Why Niagara-on-the-Lake: We purchased this home when we were moving to Sweden in 2000 knowing we would return every summer and Christmas to visit family and that we would need our own place to stay. During the 5 years we lived abroad we would long to come home to return to Simcoe Pines. Nothing could beat that feeling! We had the pool built in 2003 so that our young daughter could swim when we were on summer vacation. We thought others may enjoy using the home when we weren't there which was most of the year. Eight years later we have many return guests from all over the world enjoying Simcoe Pines!
Now that we are back living in Canada we offer Simcoe Pines as a year round vacation retreat for others to enjoy and have since purchased 3 other homes in old town, also with heated swimming pools.
We try to get a chance to stay at Simcoe Pines at least a couple times a year, usually in the Winter. it is full of memories for us!
