Our custom home is an architecturally designed New England barn and interior designed Western home built in 2005. We are surrounded by views of Mt. Maurice and the Beartooth Mountains and on a clear day we can see the Crazy Mountains. We are just minutes from the town of Red Lodge and within an hour's drive from the Billings, Montana airport. Our property is comfortably furnished with a mix of antiques and Western decor. The home was featured in Country Home magazine for its warmth and inviting charm. We see wild turkeys, sand cranes, and fox fromour deck.

Activities abound in the Red Lodge area. There's great fishing, hiking, horseback riding, rafting and just plain porch sitting watching the eagles and bluebirds. The town of Red Lodge has lots of boutiques for shopping on a rare rainy day and plenty of delicious restaurants to tempt your palates. A trip up the Beartooth Highway is spectacular and leads to the northeast entrance to Yellowstone Park, about a 2 1/2 hour drive away.

Our property offers serenity, peace and a true getaway from busy everyday life. There's a deck facing the Beartooth's for some of the best sunsets you'll ever see. There's also a long covered porch at the front of the house that faces pure, big sky views of the prairie.

There is a master suite with a balcony facing the mountain views, a walk-in shower and queen bed. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and a bath directly across the hall. The office has a double pull-out bed and a door that leads to the adjacent bath. The spacious downstairs bedroom has a queen and a bath directly across the hall. It has a view of Red Lodge Mountain. The game room leather sofa is a queen pull-out and is very comfy.

This is our home away from home that we're happy to share with you. It is outfitted with all the neccessities for a stress free vacation. Enjoy!!

A group of us stayed early in July, when the landscapes were green and full of wildflowers. Exploring the area for miles was breathtaking. We arranged a horseback ride nearby, drove up to the Pass (still snow-covered), watched the parade through the adorable town of Red Lodge, took in a local rodeo, and wished we'd had time for fly-fishing and rafting on the river. Meanwhile, our stay at this lovely home was absolutely top-notch. Every amenity was seen to, every corner clean, every bed comfy. The kitchen is fully stocked by an owner who obviously loves to cook, and the lay-out accommodates a crowd so well. From morning coffee on the porch looking out over the views to evening horseshoes to night around the firepit under the stars, our vacation was fantastic.

The house was perfect for the six of us who wanted to spend some time in the Red Lodge area and do some sightseeing! We traveled down on our Harleys and put on a total of 1,150 miles before our long weekend was done. It was a wonderful place to go back to at the end of a long, hot motorcycle ride. Each couple had their own bed and bath and slept well in the comfy beds. The only downside was maybe the loose gravel on the way to the house, but it was doable. We enjoyed working on a challenging puzzle that was waiting for us when we arrived...didn't quite get it done, but we gave it a good shot! Great place to relax, play some games, cook some good meals, and enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. When we first arrived our son said, "No need to go to Yellowstone, we have everything we need right here!" It was very unique...loved the country feel to the place. I'd highly recommend it!

7 of us stayed here for four nights in August and had the best time! The East Bench area is home to some of the most beautiful ranches you will see and the sunrise/sunsets viewable from the front porch and expansive back deck (including the hot tub) are a few of the most breathtaking sights you will see in your lifetime. The extensive mountain range views from various rooms in the house and back deck are incredible and the house is so secluded that crickets and the occasional bird call is all that you can hear in the early, gorgeous mornings. The house is incredibly decorated with a gorgeous western flare (old leather chaps and horse shoes line the beautiful log walls) give the house a barn-like feel. The kitchen is large and perfect for cooking with a group in and the grill on the front deck cooked our steaks perfectly. The house is a great size for a medium-large group without feeling crowded or packed. The pool table and bar in the downstairs provide great evening entertainment and the bedrooms are placed perfectly for a group gathering with privacy available whenever you need. The short drive to Red Lodge is beautiful along beautiful gavel roads. We had a wonderful time here and will be making this trip an annual tradition!

We had the absolute best time staying here. The house is in a perfect location. We went fly fishing on up on the Beartooth Highway. We went horseback riding and white water rafting. We rented ATVs and instead of hiking, rode them up into the Mountains. Oh - and the Red Lodge 4th of July rodeo was terrific. (Make sure you plan to attend the parade first-then the rodeo!) And - make sure you go to the pig races and have a huge steak! After all of the activities it was perfect to come back to the house and watch the unbelievable sunsets from the deck. You are close enough to town that you can run in if you forget something, but far enough away from other houses to really get the Montana Big Sky experience. The pool table and the dart board in the party room kept the teenagers busy. Impeccably furnished, clean with very comfortable beds. Great views from both the front porch and the back deck. I travel quite a bit for business, and have rented houses for vacations in many other places (including Red Lodge) and this is by far one of the best! Definitely recommend it.

We are from Boston. We had never been to the West and we wanted an independent experience with comfort and we found it. Our adult children and friends were as pleased as my wife and I. The home is beautiful with many interesting decorations, the views are breathtaking, the night sky is mezmerizing and the quiet is everywhere. I had never heard or seen a "pig race" but I have now. You can actually bet on the little porkers. Everything was great,I would recommend this home to anyoneand there is plenty to do. I am a type A, and a little concerned about boredom; if you are like me don't worry you can eat out, golf, fish, float,go to a rodeo and the pig races. Have fun.

About: Our place is a gathering spot for our family and friends. We eat great meals around the 8 foot dining room table, play a little horseshoes or pool, soak in the hot tub and sit on the back deck and watch the sunsets. We can hear the gurgle of the irrigation ditch below the house and savor the quiet -- sometimes only hearing the cows on a nearby ranch or the rustle of the aspen trees next to the porch. It's a great spot to read or break out some watercolor paints and give it your best shot at capturing the mountain landscape. There are two horses on our property and many on the adjacent land to watch as they play and graze.

                  Why Red Lodge:
Our kids came to Red Lodge first and we followed not long after. It will be our retirement spot one of these days---just not yet. We've had a number of family reunions here and our guests all fall in love with Red Lodge and its surroundings.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We are outside of town and we love to enjoy Red Lodge and its amenities but love coming back to the privacy and quiet of the East Bench. I love grabbing my coffee in the morning, donning a cowboy hat and sitting on the front porch-feet propped up on the hickory furniture and just savoring the landscape. Montana at it's best. Natural beauty everywhere.
