Best location, private view, large space for entire party in the city... Read my reviews. :) I'm very proud of them. Everyone has loved this choice. I do not cancel on anyone. Cheaper than 2 hotel rooms and from my reviews, you'll know you're booking a rare opportunity with no surprises except to visit New York City in style in one of New York's private luxury Penthouses... Not just a rental.
This 20th floor luxury penthouse with fantastic views is a rarity of closets, bathrooms, openness yet private spaces, extra wide private terrace wrapping around dining room and den with great views to the East River and Northern view of city skyline (see pictures of Chrysler Bldg from terrace).
And remember, it's a 2 private BR/1.5BA. Everyone (8) can sleep comfortably with recent addition of an expensive high quality very comfortable automatic fill and unfill electric queen air mattress. (See sleeping arrangements). Stay here comfortably together and with enough space to lounge in different ares inside or out. Gourmet cook stocked kitchen in case you want to cook.
Want to munch on arrival, take in the view with a nice bottle of wine or champagne?...Throw down your bags and help yourself to my stock....Maybe replace when you leave if you have time. :)
The Empire State Building/Macy's is just 3& 4 Avenues respectively to the West, Time Square, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Station, the museums are all a short walk away. (All maps, tour guides, etc you'll need will be on the table with extra keys on your arrival). Grocery stores, huge movie theater, Borders, major restaurants even Starbucks and gym all downstairs. But if needed, the subway entrance is on the block! And if you must, bring the car. 2 Parking Garages are below the building as well!
Every amenity possible here for you: secure building, friendly doormen, new kitchen and baths with dishwasher, garbage disposal, central heat, 5 airconditioners...yes 5!!!!! HD flat screens in master bedroom and living room with DVR/TIVO, Time-Warner Cable, Wireless Internet. And, our cleaner will make beds with clean linens and clean entire place before and after you.
We have quality linens for all couches/beds in any arrangement you choose and if you decide beforehand how you prefer to sleep, I can arrange for you.
By the way, the review from Arlene was of a property I had in DC, not this one. And I now have a big coffee maker for you thanks to her review. :)
The last guest, Terry & family, recommended that I make room in our many chests. Done... and I even bought a new high quality iron & iron board too. Thanks for the suggestions guys. :)

This is the fifth VRBO property I have stayed in across the country and it was my favorite. Lots of space for a New York apartment and a perfect stay for my family of four. My boys are getting older and no longer want mom and dad right on top of them, so this place suited our needs perfectly. Subway stops right down the block. Danny and Giovanni were very generous with what they provide in terms of linens and kitchen equipment. The apartment is very well decorated. It was so clean and welcoming when we arrived. They even left the lights on for us. The views particularly in the evening were very cool. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. My husband and I had no aches and pains in the morning and we appreciated the extra pillows very much. The only caveat I would add is that the mattress holds heat so pack your light sleepwear. There is a grocery store, pizza place, Starbucks, and a decent place for breakfast (Murray Hill Diner) just steps away from the entrance to the building. We hope to be back if they will have us.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Having formerly lived in the city we were flying in for a long weekend and meeting friends from Europe... we had a lot on our 'want" list and Danny's home was magnificent. Perfectly situated, close to everything in a fabulous walking neighborhood. The home is filled with light and artwork and beautiful details. Sweeping iconic views from the oversized wraparound terrace was welcoming for a late night glass of wine and again with croissants and espresso before heading out for the day. I went to New York with a group of 6 of my girlfriends and we decided to skip the hotel living and try to live like a local. Best decision ever. Danny's apartment was beautiful and comfortable. The view was amazing and we were right around the corner from a train stop. I highly recommend his listing to anyone that wants to skip the touristy hugaloboo. I can't wait to plan my next trip to New York and stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This place was so much more than I ever expected from an apartment in NYC. I was very nervous about using VBRO but I had no worries once I walked into this place. You cannot go wrong with booking this spot. I will nevery stay anywhere else when coming to NYC. We had a great time In NYC. The listing was exactly as described. The terrace was a perfect way to end our day with a glass of wine. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Danny answered all our questions and even left us maps and recommendations in the area. A perfect place to stay for our first trip to New York City.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Six of us slept comfortably in this beautifully decorated apartment surrounded by the city lights. Everything was clean and well maintained and the owner, Danny, responded immediately to our questions. It was a short walk to the subway, one stop from Grand Central. This was my first experience with renting an apartment from an owner (versus staying at a hotel or hostel) and I really don't think it could have been any better! Not only was the apartment AMAZING (location, quality of the kitchen, the view, the space... just everything - and even my NYC friends that came by were equally stunned!!) but Danny D was an incredible and thoughtful host. He answered all my questions in advance, the apartment was immaculate upon arrival (and beautifully decorated) and he even had maps and recommendations ready for us. And given that there were 5 of us staying in the apartment (and we never felt crowded!), the fact that there was a lockbox on the door with the key, meant we could come and go as we pleased. So we were able to enjoy NYC without worrying about coordinating keys and meetups. To top off a great weekend, Danny even let us keep our bags in the apartment after "checkout" so we didn't have to schlep them around the last day before our flights that left in the evening. All in all, both the apartment and Danny were better than anything my friends and I could have hoped.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Couldn't have suited our needs more. We had two teenagers traveling with us and so were facing a cost of TWO hotel rooms in NYC with very little space and no ability to cook. Danny's place provided both and as an extra bonus, two adorable little dogs who we got to visit with briefly before Danny and Giovanni whisked them away and a to-do-for terrace overlooking the Chrysler Building. So nice to kick back and enjoy a glass of wine on our 20th story terrace while reviewing our day. Danny provided everything we could want and then some. We were so busy we never even turned on the TV sets but we did cook several meals "at home" which saved lots of dollars. Centrally located to lots of sites and subway stops. Wow oh wow! What can I say? My first experience with AirBNB was perfect! Danny was an amazing host. From the first point of contact he was extremely friendly and easy to chat with. Not only was he very accommodating, but he went out of his way to ensure we had the best possible time at his penthouse. The unit itself was wonderful for our group of 6. Very clean, open, and airy.
