Villa Amare - romantically named from the Latin word 'love' - is a very large villa with the benefit of being just a 100 metre stroll downhill to the sea and the friendly Kalkan Beach Club. From here you can swim and snorkel in crystal clear turquoise waters, from beach platforms.
The villa has a beautiful large lounge with doors that open onto your own private swimming pool. By the pool there is a charming outdoor dining area with a stone built BBQ, made by a local craftsman. Here you can dine under the stars - the ultimate in relaxation. If you don't fancy doing your own cooking a local chef will come and create a meal for you! All five bedrooms are (unusually for Turkey) very spacious and all have generous en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. There are three bedrooms with king size beds and two with twin beds, ideal for two families or couples sharing. All but one bedroom have large balconies.

The historic town of Kalkan is an enchanting place and one of the most beautiful locations along Turkey's Mediterranean Coast. With the complete absence of mass tourism, Kalkan remains a charming and unspoiled haven, brilliant blue crystal-clear sea, historic architecture, ancient history and warm traditional Turkish hospitality.
Once a simple fishing village, today’s Kalkan is quietly sophisticated and postcard pretty with a few good quality low-rise hotels and apartments and a multitude of excellent roof-top restaurants offering all manner of culinary delights together with stylish and atmospheric Blues and Jazz bars. The village shops stay open till around midnight and are well stocked with interesting antiques, crafts, jewellery, clothing and accessories. The narrow streets twist down to the harbour, which is the focus of the village and here you can enjoy a meal whilst watching the world go by or looking at the array of elegant gullets and yachts. A day at sea is a must!
Other Activities: wonderful boat trips from the harbour and there is a diving school in Kalkan.
Skiing - a new resort neat Fetiye.
Ski: High above Fetiye is a brand new ski resort.
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We are a couple from Kent who have been visiting Kalkan on and off for many years before purchasing this villa in Kisla for ourselves and our large family to enjoy. Having four children and two grandchildren, Amare is perfect for family holidays. Kisla is quieter than Kalkan and has its' own friendly Beach club, just minutes down the hill, and also several delightful restaurants. The convenient water taxi from the beach club makes it easy to go across the bay to Kalkan.
Why the Owner Chose Kalkan: We loved Amare for its views which are uninterupted, and for its proximity to the sea. Kalkan is very steep and many villas are actually quite a distance from the sea. We have the best of both worlds with the sea on our doorstep and a pool to cool off in.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa: A cooling breeze in summer, proximity to the beach, beautiful panoramic views. Unusually large bedrooms all beautifully tiled in soft travertine, and en-suite bathrooms to every bedroom. The extra relaxing entrance terrace with comfy local sofas is a treasure, as it adds another area for guests to relax. A perfect spot for pre dinner drinks in the evening with friends, listening to Bob's lazy jazz wafting down the hill from his restaurant. The scent of the night scented Meluah shrub.
