Grapevine cottage description
Very cute cottage is charming inside and out.
Cozy comfort with a large private bedroom, one bathroom and an open living room and kitchen. A multi-purpose room provides laundry appliances and plenty of extra space as an office, study or guest room.
This not-so-big house is simply splendid for an individual or couple. The house can also easily accommodate up to five guests for shorter stays.
The location is perfect. The award-winning ten acre Grapevine Botanical Garden is directly across the street. Lighted tennis courts (two blocks), historic Nash Farm (two blocks) and an abundance of shopping and dining on Main Street (three blocks).
A whole-house renovation was completed in February 2012 including new furniture throughout, new housewares, new central HVAC, new on-demand or “tankless” water heater, wood floors, spray foam insulation and so much more.
The bedroom features plenty of storage with an expanded wardrobe-style closet.
The black and white tiled bathroom has a large shower and pedestal sink.
With the queen size sleeper sofa in the living room and the convertible over-sized chair in the multi-purpose room the cottage sleeps a total of five guests.
The large kitchen opens to the living room. A pub-style dining table and tall stools offer up a cozy at-home dining option. Slide to the side when not in use.
There is clear parking for two vehicles. Nothing fancy.
Adjacent to the cottage is nice pergola with a table, chairs and double glider. A charcoal grill is nearby for outdoor cooking. And there are a couple of rocking chairs on the front porch!
The cottage is close to pretty much everything! Ten minutes from DFW International Airport; five minutes to the Gaylord Texan; five minutes to Great Wolf Lodge; seven minutes to Grapevine Mills Mall; ten minutes to Southlake Town Square. If you drive like a Texan then downtown Fort Worth and downtown Dallas are twenty minutes away.
Visiting and traveling medical professionals such as PTs, RNs and MDs save ten percent on all rate levels.

Charming to say the least
Charming to say the least
I was fortunate enough to enjoy this beautiful little home for 4 fantastic months. It sits on a large and amazingly well maintained property in the heart of Grapevine. The owners have thought of everything and then some...all amenities, utensils, housewares, linens, appliances, etc. are at hand for your use. The house is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The pictures and description represent the place and location perfectly. There are several outdoor living areas to enjoy…including, a charcoal grill, table and chairs for outdoor dining just out your back door. The owners live on site and are readily accessible but never disturbing in any way. They know the area and are happy to share their knowledge should you inquire. They made me aware of several local events and happenings taking place during my stay – many of which I was able to experience and enjoy. Every attribute and the owners’ attention to detail made my stay welcoming and comfortable. The property is central to the DFW area, easily accessible and within walking distance of multiple Grapevine attractions. Whether you’re in Grapevine for a short visit or an extended stay, you will not be disappointed with this property.

Owner response: We're so glad you found our little cottage and made it your home away from home. Thanks!
Remarkable home, remarkable owners
Remarkable home, remarkable owners
My husband and I were in Grapevine for a meeting the first week in May. We fell in love with this little house which is within easy walking distance of the scenic town. It is completely refinished and cozy, and the pictures do it justice. In addition to completely agreeing with the rave reviews about the home itself, I would add that the botanical gardens across the street are no match for the landscaping surrounding this cottage. If you prefer something more rugged, there are miles of hiking/biking/running trails in the area. Want to find a trail, a restaurant, historical site, shopping, nightlife? The owner has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area, and can steer you in the right direction no matter what you are seeking. Everything you need has been provided to get you going-coffee and filters, condiments, all the things you find yourself running out to the store to find as you are unpacking. Relax, everything is there (except for the lotion I accidentally brought home with me!) Settling in is completely stress free, and staying there is so pleasant it is difficult to leave. As an example of how thoughtful the owners are-the first few days in May were some of the coldest on record. Our host actually called us to see if we were okay and to offer his two Floridian guests warm jackets if we needed them. I would jump at the opportunity for a return visit.

Owner response: Our goal is to provide a clean, comfortable cottage where folks can feel right at home. Because gardening is a real passion around here, we also strive to make the outside as welcoming as the inside. Perhaps more than anything we simply want to be your good neighbor. Thanks very much for renting our not-so-big cottage!
Comfortable, cozy, modern cottage close to amazing restaurants, shopping and more! Truly one of a kind accommodations. My Brother-in-law stopped by and fell in love with the place. Told his wife that when he disappeared, he'd be found right here! We had everything we needed and more. Can't say enough about the Grapevine Cottage. Definitely will stay again when in the area and will recommend it to friends and family.

A Delightful Cottage
A Delightful Cottage
We stayed at this adorable cottage for two months while working in the area. Ross and Tammy, the owners, were wonderful from the very beginning offering information about what to do, where to shop, etc. The property shows pride of ownership and the two of them take loving care of all the details. The cottage is exactly as it appears in photos. It was spotless, charming and fully equipped. The details such as color, decorative moldings and nice artwork were all appealing and made the cottage feel like home. I loved the big screen TV after a long day at work and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed walking two blocks to the historic downtown area where we could have breakfast or dinner and explore the great little shops. We were there through Christmas- it was fun to see Grapevine all decked out in it's Christmas finery- They go all out!! All in all it was a great experience and we will likely return. Ross and Tammy are great hosts.!!

Lovely and comfortable stay!
Lovely and comfortable stay!
What a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I spent an extended weekend at this lovely home, and found it to be inviting and comfortable. It has plenty of space and has been beautifully updated. We loved the way the kitchen opens up into the living room area. The wood floors and warm earthtone colors add a nice ambiance, and everything was impeccably clean. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking and serving utensils, and we enjoyed sharing a bottle of wine and making dinner at the house. There's a comfy sofa and chair in the living room area, with a large flat screen TV and DVD. We also loved the pebble-bottomed shower, which gives a nice foot massage. We have this in our shower at home, and were pleasantly surprised by this. Lots of fluffy towels were available, as well as extra sheets and blankets ... everything to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. A washer and dryer is available if needed in a back room of the house. The owners, who live in the home directly behind the rental, are very friendly and available if needed, but completely unobtrusive. The most important thing of all to us was that they were willing to let us bring our small dogs, who are like family members to us (in fact, the purpose of our road trip was to spend some family time with them on an "adventure"). The owner has a very large lot with trees and beautiful plants, so we were able to walk around the property with our pets, which they loved. There's also a beautiful park directly across the street from the rental. The street can be a bit busy during morning rush hour, but this didn't detract from our stay as we're early risers anyway. The owners obviously put a lot of thought into the things that would make guests comfortable, and I hope we'll be able to enjoy visiting this lovely home again.

We loved every minute of our five days in the cottage in Grapevine. The property is very clean and newly renovated with easy access to downtown Grapevine. The owners, who live next door, were friendly and helpful and had provided everything we needed for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. We frequently rent on VRBO, so we know properties sometimes look better online than they do in person. We were pleasantly surprised in this case. While the house is small, it didn't feel cramped; the furniture is new; the bath and shower are nice; the laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer; the kitchen is fully equiped and opens to the living room; and the queen bed is very comfortable and there is a large closet with shelves. We will definitely rent here again when we're in the area!

Owner response: Thanks for the kind words, y'all! It was a pleasure to have you stay in our not-so-big house. Like you said, the location is terrific; Historic Downtown Grapevine is a short walk away for dining and shopping. And golf and other activities are just minutes away. But when you are "at home" in the cottage, we want you to be as comfortable as you would be at your own home. Thanks again!
Home from Home
Home from Home
In fact "Home from Home" doesn't even come close to our feelings on this wonderfull cottage, it is Home, everything about it,the place itself is so full of character, clean, well maintained, great lay out and very well equiped. It is a short stroll to all the facilities and attractions of Main Street Grapevine, so you can if you wish do without the car (how often can you say that in Texas?). Ross and Tammy make you feel very welcome, and we felt more like friends than paying guests.Their description of the property is spot on and the photos accuratly depict the cottage and its amenities. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to anyone who want to stay in a place of character, in an ideal location in historic Grapevine. Our favorite places nearby on Main Street were the Grapevine Theater, particularly the Grapevine Opry on Saturday nights and Tolberts which combines live music most nights with good reasonable priced food. (Try The Chilli!). very sorry to leave, altready booked for next year.
