Loved loved loved the house and Location. Could not have been happier. The house layout is awesome and feels very spacious. My three sisters and I took full advantage of the deck and the hot tub. We walked to all the sites as everything we needed/ wanted to see was in walking distance. House sits on a peaceful street and the neighbors were quite freindly. We could not have been happier with our vacation. Thanks so much Katherine and Larry!

Very conveniently located in a quiet residential street within walking distance of all the major attractions. As Brits, we did miss having a kettle but that was the only thing lacking!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It exceeded our expectations in every way-- larger rooms and more space than it seemed from the pictures and closer to everything than we had thought. Such a lovely walk that we went out and returned to the house several times a day. I don't believe that it was mentioned in the description, but there is a huge playground at the end of the street (maybe half a block away). Perfect for families with children of any age. There was also a blues festival going on down the street. My husband and I were able to enjoy the concert from the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Renter and caretakers were a pleasure. Such a great trip that we are already considering returning to St. Augustine and would love to stay in this home again!

Roomy, well-equipped house and great location to explore and enjoy all that St. Augustine has to offer. Owners were responsive and helpful and their bungalow exceeded our expectations. Downtown location allows walking to most everything -- restaurants, shops, and sights -- but just a short drive to beautiful beaches. Great choice for any visit to St. Augustine.

Our family, four adults, two children, stayed in this incredibly beautiful home for five days in March, and it was one great vacation week. Although the crowds very thick due to Spring Break, everything worked out better than our highest expectations. This friendly, very, very clean home is only minutes walking distance to just about everything you want to see or do in St. Augustine. The beds were soooo comfortable, and those wonderful sheets, we all slept like babies. The private driveway is also really convenient for off-street parking in a town where parking is not readily available. Can't say enough about the owner, Catherine, one really warm and friendly hostess who truly cares about her home and her visitors. Will definitely be back. Oh, if you've never had an authentic Philly CheeseSteak, go to "South of Philly" restaurant on the main street and ask for Mitch the owner. Tell him Bob from West Catholic sent you!

My wife and I have loved St. Augustine on several trips, but we've always found it difficult to find suitable lodging at a reasonable price ... until now! This house is a perfect place to stay when visiting the beautiful historic district. It's close enough to be within walking distance of most of the attractions but far enough from the busiest areas to be a quaint spot to rest in the evening. The house itself is very spacious. Nice master bath/shower and dressing room. Large kitchen and nice sitting area out back. TV and cable in every room (even the kitchen) and strong wifi connection. No complaints! We'll definitely be back!

This was our first time renting a house on vacation. We were not disappointed. Everything was exactly as pictured. The kitchen was great, all you needed was your own food. We loved eating breakfast at the kitchen snack bar while watching the morning news. The home was very spacious and bedrooms very comfortable and the property was very well maintained. The location was very safe ,quiet, and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Kathryn and Larry were very helpful. After getting settled we walked over to the Bed and Breakfast they own (also very nice) and Larry was very helpful in pointing out places of interest to visit and some very nice restaurants. We ate at the Floridian and the Columbia, both good choices. The outside patio was a very relaxing place to sit and watch nature or read. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

This was a beautiful and super clean place in an ideal location in the heart of St .Augustine. The neighborhood could not have been nicer or safer. The owners were so easy to deal with and were so accommodating. The affiliated Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast around the corner was a fountain of information (thanks Larry!) and had amazing recommendations for dinner (The Floridian, Cafe Maya, & La Pentola are were perfect). The ONLY reason I give 4 stars is the lack of ability to open the windows (no screens and windows are painted shut) which prevented us from enjoying the Florida fresh air and naturally cool nights. Thanks for a wonderful stay in St. Augustine.

i had a wonderful visit to st augustine, in large part due to the location and space in our rented house. the house was clean and well lit. there was nothing lacking from all the modern conveniences to the lovely cotton robes hanging in the closet. the street was within walking disitance of most everything and yet it was very quiet. i felt the owners were immediately available and yet we had no need for their help. they had provided everything. the listing was accurate and i would recommend this to anyone we were able to have history, excellent food and fun all within a few blocks!!!!!

Let me say that from our first contact with the owner; Katherine, this vacation could not have been any better!!! Katherine stayed in contact with us about our arrival time and made sure that any questions were answered even prior to our arrival. We pulled in around 3:30pm, and Sandy took a few moments to sit with us and review the map of the area, and gave us some suggestions on dining and things to do and see. We stopped by the Carriage Way B&B to meet Larry, who was a wealth of information on the local scene. We took it all in, and started to plan our ventures. The Bungalow was the best VRBO property that we have ever been to by far; the attention to detail from the remote controls and tv instructions, right on down to extra pillows and blankets were exemplary. The only thing you will need when going to the bungalow is your food, drink, and clothing.... everything else is there, just like home! We have been to St Augustine many times prior to this trip, and I can assure you that I have now seen this wonderful city from a totally new perspective. Sandy suggestion to tour the Lightner museum and have lunch in the pool cafe was one of the main highlights of the trip, the other being the carriage ride that Larry arranged for us. The carriage even picked us up right in front of the B&B. Our friends from Omaha who joined us were thoroughly impressed, as were we. We live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, and I will recommend this property to anyone I know who wants to visit the St Augustine area. Trust me, after you stay near the historic district; you will never want to stay out by the beach again. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!!!!

We had a fantastic stay in your beautiful bungalow and St Augustine. Your home was perfect for our needs. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed, particularly to cook. Our toddler had a fabulous time pushing his cars around the hard floors. It was lovely to be met by Larry and given personal recommendations on restaurants, attractions (and supermarkets) suitable for us. Larry's recommendation of Mojo for dinner was perfect. We dined there both nights on the porch, enjoying the atmosphere and waving to the trolley buses, horses and train. All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable few days. We loved the hot tub, on a very cold St Augustine night, and were very sorry to leave. I would recommend your home to anyone considering a stay in St Augustine.

I have stayed in St. Augustine many times, but this was my first experience with a vrbo property in St. Augustine, and it was awesome. Having the opportunity to stay in a beautiful home in this historic area, has many advantages. Proximity to town, means parking the car in the driveway of the home, and never getting back in it. Particularly during the Holiday Night of Lights, traffic can be daunting. Whether walking early in morning, or late in evening after crowds have dispersed. I felt safe and thrilled to view beautiful Christmas decorations on many homes. This home has a great deck and garden area. Even though it is cool in December, it was a wonderful oasis for relaxation, inbetween sightseeing. The kitchen is bright and spacious, ample space for cooking. The house is actually much bigger than I expected, and beautifully restored. Katherine, the owner, provided me with useful information, even called me while I was in transit, to inquire about any other questions I may have about restaurants or sighseeing in the area. This is a very gracious lady, who goes out of her way to ensure that your stay in St. Augustine is nothing short of amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Our experience in the 1910 Bungalow was enjoyable! Our family wanted to do something different this Christmas and go away for the holiday! Instead of leaving the state we opted for St. Augustine. Being native to Florida we thought it would be nice to explore our home state. My husband, two children (16&19) and myself were extremely comfortable in the house! It was very well equipped and had plenty of room for everyone! It is family owned and very cozy! The Christmas tree being there when we arrived was an added bonus that I was not expecting, but very lovely and appreciated. Katherine and Larry were very helpful with the information they provided for our stay! We were within walking distance of 95% of what we wanted to do, and the other 5% was just over the bridge. It was also very convenient having our own driveway for our vehicle. It was an absolutely wonderful stay and we will definitely be calling again in the future. Thank you for making our vacation Fabulous!!!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this fabulous house for a 3 night girls weekend (4 women). Katherine is a great host and makes sure that you are taken care of. If you like attention to details look no further. Georgous 1910 Bungalow with modern conveniences. Beds were very comfy with luxury bedding, Large enough kitchen so everyone can gather around to eat and cook together if you want. We took advantage of the large dinner table to have "wine and game night". So much space! Perfect location-loved the neighborhood! Walking distance to St. George St and to many great restaurants. We walked or rode our bikes everywhere. My personal reccomendations: Food: We're foodies....really enjoyed-The Floridian and Cellar 6. Activities: San Sebastian Wine tour. It's short and FREE. Best part was the meat/cheese/sangria and jazz upstairs. Great view of St. Augustine. Rent bikes-we brought ours but you can rent them (beachside bycycles, I think) for $20 per day and they deliver and pick-up. So convenient and a great way to see the all the great neighborhoods. Can't wait to stay here again!

We stayed at the Johnson Bungalow, during our daughter's wedding weekend. Absolutely love the layout of the home, the garden, the attention to detail, and just feeling like you were at home. We were able to entertain the bridesmaids for a nice luncheon, The location was perfect for us. It was close to St. George Street, great restaurants, yet the neighborhood is so quiet. You are not in the rat race at all. Kathrine, the owner, was excellent to work with. Even called after our stay to see if we were pleased. We rented many times thru VRBO, and have never had this happen. We live close to St. Augustine, so, we will definitely plan to stay at this wonderful home again. Love the decor in this home. You all didn't miss a thing. Thanks for helping to make the wedding weekend such a great success.

We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants in the historic part of town. We enjoyed the beach and liked how close it was. The hot tub was a good finish to a long day of walking around. We had a wonderful time in St. Augustine and would recommend the house to friends. It was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and had everything you needed to feel like you were at home, only being pampered way more. It is very clear that attention has been made to every detail. It was great to be within walking distance to town and not have to worry about parking, but also being close to the beach. We spend most of our days on the beach and the evenings in town trying out the restaurants. With both teenagers and a preschooler the house and the vacation left them all content and extremely happy.

During 3 weeks we lived in Johnson Bungalow and we spend an absolute great time. The bungalow has a lot of spaces and let you stay. We spent a lot of time in the comfortable living room, the beautiful garden and we loved to cook in the big kitchen. The high point at the end of the day means for us to take a bath in the hot tub. The bungalow is situated in a very quiet area. You can easy walk downtown to Saint Augustine. Saint Augustine is really a very interesting town and we get never bored, there is absolutely a lot to discover and to do. We can really recommend Johnson Bungalow and the warm and friendly services of Katherine Albin. Don’t miss it and stay in Johnson Bungalow, when you are visiting Saint Augustine.
